7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all "sin.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, "so that we may serve the living God!

3 The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

1 Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, "we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her26 to make her holy, cleansing "her by the washing with water through the word,

16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.'

21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also —not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. "It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

16 Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.

20 He went on: "What comes out of a person is what defiles them.21 For it is from within, out of a person's heart, that evil thoughts come —sexual immorality, theft, murder,22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person."
