6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God *must believe that he exists and *that he rewards those who seek him.

12 *Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive *the crown of life, *which God has promised to those who love him.

5 *If any of you lacks wisdom, *let him ask God, *who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

29 *But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Ask, and It Will Be Given

7 *"Ask, *and it will be given to you; *seek, and you will find; *knock, and it will be opened to you.

24 Therefore I tell you, *whatever you ask in prayer, *believe that you *have received*it, and it will be yours.

21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and *faithful servant.**You have been faithful over a little; *I will set you over much. Enter into *the joy of your master.’

23 *Whatever you do, work heartily, *as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord *you will receive the inheritance as your reward. *You are serving the Lord Christ.

58 *Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in *the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord *your labor is not in vain.

9 And *let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, *if we do not give up.

30 But *many who are *first will be last, and the last first.

6 *He will render to each one according to his works:

38 *give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put *into your lap. For *with the measure you use it will be measured back to you."

33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.

8 *Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers,*cast out demons. *You received without paying; give without pay.

8 And *God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency* in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

18 The wicked earns deceptive wages,

but one who *sows righteousness gets a sure reward.

4 The reward for humility and fear of the Lord

is *riches and honor and life.*

3 Let not *steadfast love and *faithfulness forsake you;

*bind them around your neck;

*write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 So you will *find favor and *good success*

in the sight of God and man.

16 A man’s *gift makes room for him

and brings him before the great.

9 But, as it is written,

*"What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,

nor the heart of man imagined,

what God has *prepared *for those who love him"—

18 *having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is *the hope to which he has called you, what are *the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

Confirm Your Calling and Election

3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him *who called us to* his own glory and excellence,*

5 and *hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love *has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

32 *He who did not spare his own Son but *gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

14 but *whoever drinks of the water that I will give him *will never be thirsty again.*The water that I will give him will become *in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. *Ask, and you will receive, *that your joy may be full.

7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for *if I do not go away, *the Helper will not come to you. But *if *I go, *I will send him to you.

14 I press on toward the goal for *the prize of the upward *call of God in Christ Jesus.

6 "Blessed are those who hunger and *thirst *for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

2 *"Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may *be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have *received their reward.

6 But when you pray, *go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. *And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

14 *Seek good, and not evil,

that you may live;

and so the Lord, *the God of hosts, will be with you,

as you have said.

6 *I stretch out my hands to you;

*my soul thirsts for you like *a parched land. Selah

12 I perceived that there is *nothing better for them than to be joyful and to *do good as long as they live; 13 also *that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is *God’s gift to man.

18 Behold, what I have seen to be *good and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment* in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him, for this is his *lot.

19 Everyone also to whom *God has given *wealth and possessions *and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is *the gift of God.

33 *You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and *that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess.

16 So we do not lose heart. *Though our outer self* is wasting away, *our inner self *is being renewed day by day.

6 *Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,

10 *Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

23 *For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

27 But *the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and *you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and *is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

32 And *we are witnesses to these things, and *so is the Holy Spirit, *whom God has given to those who obey him."

12 The Lord said to Moses, *"Come up to me on the mountain and wait there, that I may give you the *tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction."
