15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,"Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?"He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you."Jesus told him,"Feed my lambs."

16 Then he said to him a second time,"Simon, son of John, do you love me?"He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you."Jesus told him,"Take care of my sheep."

17 He said to him a third time,"Simon, son of John, do you love me?"Peter was deeply hurt that he had said to him a third time,"Do you love me?"So he said to him, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you!"Jesus told him,"Feed my sheep.

28 Peter answered him, "Lord, if it's you, order me to come to you on the water."

29 Jesus said,"Come on!" So Peter got down out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came to Jesus.

30 But when he noticed the strong wind, he was frightened. As he began to sink, he shouted, "Lord, save me!"

31 At once Jesus reached out his hand, caught him, and said to him,"You who have so little faith, why did you doubt?"

54 Then they arrested him, led him away, and brought him to the high priest's house. But Peter was following at a distance.

55 When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had taken their seats, Peter, too, sat down among them.

56 A servant girl saw him sitting by the fire, stared at him, and said, "This man was with him, too."

57 But he denied it, saying, "I don't know him, woman!"

58 A little later a man looked at him and said, "You are one of them, too."But Peter said, "Mister, I am not!"

59 About an hour later another man emphatically asserted, "This man was certainly with him, for he is a Galilean!"

60 But Peter said, "Mister, I don't know what you're talking about!" Just then, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.

61 Then the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord and how he had said to him,"Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times."

62 And he went outside and cried bitterly.
