Repouso e férias
Parar não é sinal de fraqueza, mas de confiança em Deus. Quando você fecha os olhos e decide descansar, reconhece que o mundo continua girando porque existe um Criador que sustenta todas as coisas. O repouso não é apenas uma pausa física para recuperar as forças, mas um lembrete constante de que você não precisa carregar o peso da vida sozinho.
As Escrituras mostram que Deus planejou o descanso para o nosso bem. Tirar tempo para pausar revela a certeza de que a provisão vem dele, e não da nossa exaustão. Deixe que estas palavras tragam tranquilidade ao seu coração e renovem suas energias para os dias que virão.
Deus criou o descanso como parte da vida. O sábado, o repouso e até as férias refletem a confiança de que Deus sustenta todas as coisas — mesmo quando paramos.
O descanso como ordenança
Deus descansou no sétimo dia e nos convidou a fazer o mesmo. O descanso sabático é um presente de Deus para restauração do corpo e da alma.
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entred into his rest, hath also ceased from his owne works, as God did from his.(Hebrews 4:9,10)
If thou turne away thy foote from the Sabbath, from doing thy will on mine holy day, and call the Sabbath a delite, to consecrate it, as glorious to the Lord, and shalt honour him, not doing thine owne wayes, nor seeking thine owne will, nor speaking a vaine word, Then shalt thou delite in the Lord, and I wil cause thee to mount vpon the hie places of the earth, and feede thee with the heritage of Iaakob thy father: for the mouth of ye Lord hath spoken it.(Isaiah 58:13,14)
Whether therefore ye eate, or drinke, or whatsoeuer ye doe, doe all to the glory of God.(1 Corinthians 10:31)
Sono e paz
Ditar-se em paz e dormir tranquilamente é bênção do Senhor. Quem confia nele dorme sem medo e acorda renovado.
I will lay mee downe, and also sleepe in peace: for thou, Lord, onely makest me dwell in safetie.(Psalms 4:8)
I layed me downe and slept, and rose vp againe: for the Lord susteined me.(Psalms 3:5)
It is in vaine for you to rise earely, and to lie downe late, and eate the bread of sorow: but he wil surely giue rest to his beloued.(Psalms 127:2)
Thou shalt not be afraide of the feare of the night, nor of the arrowe that flyeth by day:(Psalms 91:5)
If thou sleepest, thou shalt not bee afraide, and when thou sleepest, thy sleepe shalbe sweete.(Proverbs 3:24)
There is an euill sickenes that I haue seene vnder the sunne: to wit, riches reserued to the owners thereof for their euill.(Ecclesiastes 5:12)
Descanso e segurança
No repouso, encontramos segurança. Deus guarda os justos, e mesmo no silêncio da noite, sua paz nos protege e restaura.
And thou shalt bee bolde, because there is hope: and thou shalt digge pittes, and shalt lye downe safely. For when thou takest thy rest, none shall make thee afraide: yea, many shall make sute vnto thee.(Job 11:18,19)
Peace shall come: they shall rest in their beds, euery one that walketh before him.(Isaiah 57:2)
