Resistir
19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name."
1 When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,
1 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be "bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be "loosed in heaven."
A armadura de Deus
Somos chamados a revestir a armadura completa de Deus para resistir às ciladas do diabo e permanecer firmes na batalha espiritual.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
27 and do not give the devil a foothold.
4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Firmes na resistência
Resistir ao diabo é um ato de fé ativa. A Bíblia nos garante que quando resistimos, ele foge, e que maior é o que está em nós do que o que está no mundo.
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.
33 But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. "Get behind me, Satan!" he said. "You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."
19 From the west, people will fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along. [1]
