The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge: fools despise wisdom and instruction.(Proverbs 1:7)

The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy is intelligence.(Proverbs 9:10)

The fear of Jehovah is the discipline of wisdom, and before honour goeth humility.(Proverbs 15:33)

The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do his precepts: his praise abideth for ever.(Psalms 111:10)

But wisdom, where shall it be found? and where is the place of understanding? Man knoweth not the value thereof; and it is not found in the land of the living.

The deep saith, It is not in me; and the sea saith, It is not with me. Choice gold cannot be given for it, nor silver be weighed for its price. It is not set in the balance with gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, and the sapphire. Gold and glass cannot be compared to it, nor vessels of fine gold be its exchange. Corals and crystal are no more remembered; yea, the acquisition of wisdom is above rubies. The topaz of Ethiopia shall not be compared to it, neither shall it be set in the balance with pure gold.

Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? For it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and concealed from the fowl of the heavens. Destruction and death say, We have heard its report with our ears.(Job 28:12-22)

But if any one of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all freely and reproaches not, and it shall be given to him:(James 1:5)

yea, if thou criest after discernment and liftest up thy voice to understanding; then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah, and find the knowledge of God(Proverbs 2:3,5)

For Jehovah giveth wisdom; out of his mouth come knowledge and understanding.(Proverbs 2:6)

As for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.(Daniel 1:17)

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever; For wisdom and might are his.(Daniel 2:20)

I thank thee, and I praise thee, O God of my fathers, Who hast given me wisdom and might, And hast made known unto me already what we desired of thee; For thou hast made known unto us the king’s matter.(Daniel 2:23)

A sabedoria divina e a sabedoria humana

Who is wise and understanding among you; let him shew out of a good conversation his works in meekness of wisdom;(James 3:13)

But the wisdom from above first is pure, then peaceful, gentle, yielding, full of mercy and good fruits, unquestioning, unfeigned.(James 3:17)

but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews an offence, and to nations foolishness; but to those that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ God’s power and God’s wisdom. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.(1 Corinthians 1:23-25)

But we speak wisdom among the perfect; but wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who come to nought. But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, that hidden wisdom which God had predetermined before the ages for our glory:(1 Corinthians 2:6,7)

Let no one deceive himself: if any one thinks himself to be wise among you in this world, let him become foolish, that he may be wise.(1 Corinthians 3:18)

to the end that their hearts may be encouraged, being united together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the full knowledge of the mystery of God; in which are hid all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge.(Colossians 2:2,3)

Confide in Jehovah with all thy heart, and lean not unto thine own intelligence; in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will make plain thy paths.(Proverbs 3:5,6)

Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear Jehovah, and depart from evil:(Proverbs 3:7)

Make me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths. Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.(Psalms 25:4,5)

The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way.(Psalms 25:9)

Teach me thy way, Jehovah, and lead me in an even path, because of mine enemies.(Psalms 27:11)

I will instruct thee and teach thee the way in which thou shalt go; I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee.(Psalms 32:8)

The steps of a man are established by Jehovah, and he delighteth in his way:(Psalms 37:23)

Cause me to hear thy loving-kindness in the morning, for in thee do I confide; make me to know the way wherein I should walk, for unto thee do I lift up my soul.(Psalms 143:8)

Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God let thy good Spirit lead me in a plain country. Revive me, O Jehovah, for thy name’s sake; in thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble;(Psalms 143:10,11)

Open mine eyes, and I shall behold wondrous things out of thy law.(Psalms 119:18)

The entrance of thy words giveth light, giving understanding unto the simple.(Psalms 119:130)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, and standeth not in the way of sinners, and sitteth not in the seat of scorners; But his delight is in Jehovah’s law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night.(Psalms 1:1,2)

when thou walkest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.(Proverbs 6:22)

Let the word of the Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another, in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.(Colossians 3:16)

Sabedoria prática no dia a dia

Quem cultiva a prudência aprende a frear a impulsividade e a valorizar o conselho maduro.

See therefore how ye walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.(Ephesians 5:15,16)

He that is wise will hear, and will increase learning; and the intelligent will gain wise counsels:(Proverbs 1:5)

The wise in heart receiveth commandments; but a prating fool shall fall.(Proverbs 10:8)

When pride cometh, then cometh shame; but with the lowly is wisdom.(Proverbs 11:2)

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; but he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsel.(Proverbs 12:15)

He that guardeth his mouth keepeth his soul; destruction shall be to him that openeth wide his lips.(Proverbs 13:3)

By pride there only cometh contention; but with the well-advised is wisdom.(Proverbs 13:10)

He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.(Proverbs 14:29)

Even a fool when he holdeth his peace is reckoned wise, and he that shutteth his lips, intelligent.(Proverbs 17:28)

A fool hath no delight in understanding, but only that his heart may reveal itself.(Proverbs 18:2)

The heart of an intelligent man getteth knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.(Proverbs 18:15)

He that getteth sense loveth his own soul; he that keepeth understanding shall find good.(Proverbs 19:8)

Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.(Proverbs 19:20)

Plans are established by counsel; and with good advice make war.(Proverbs 20:18)

For with good advice shalt thou make thy war; and in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.(Proverbs 24:6)

Whatsoever ye do, labour at it heartily, as doing it to the Lord, and not to men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance; ye serve the Lord Christ.(Colossians 3:23,24)

Walk in wisdom towards those without, redeeming opportunities. Let your word be always with grace, seasoned with salt, so as to know how ye ought to answer each one.(Colossians 4:5,6)

Blessed is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.(Proverbs 3:13)

For whoso findeth me findeth life, and obtaineth favour of Jehovah;(Proverbs 8:35)

The purposes of the heart are of man, but the answer of the tongue is from Jehovah.(Proverbs 16:1)

The heart of man deviseth his way, but Jehovah directeth his steps.(Proverbs 16:9)

How much better is it to get wisdom than fine gold, and the getting of intelligence to be preferred to silver!(Proverbs 16:16)

For he giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good in God’s sight. This also is vanity and pursuit of the wind.(Ecclesiastes 2:26)

For wisdom is a defence as money is a defence; but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom maketh them that possess it to live.(Ecclesiastes 7:12)

Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, whither thou goest.(Ecclesiastes 9:10)

A sabedoria soberana do Criador

Dost thou not know, hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not nor tireth? There is no searching of his understanding.(Isaiah 40:28)

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah.(Isaiah 55:8)

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.(Isaiah 55:9)

O depth of riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable his judgments, and untraceable his ways!(Romans 11:33)

the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever. Amen.(Romans 16:27)

So teach us to number our days, that we may acquire a wise heart.(Psalms 90:12)

He hath shewn thee, O man, what is good: and what doth Jehovah require of thee, but to do justly, and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with thy God(Micah 6:8)

Whoever therefore hears these my words and does them, I will liken him to a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock;(Matthew 7:24)
