Sabedoria
Fear of YHWH [is the] beginning of knowledge, || Fools have despised wisdom and instruction!
The commencement of wisdom [is] the fear of YHWH, || And a knowledge of the Holy Ones [is] understanding.
The fear of YHWH [is] the instruction of wisdom, || And humility [is] before honor!
The fear of YHWH [is] the beginning of wisdom, || Good understanding have all doing them, || His praise [is] standing forever!
And the wisdom—from where is it found? And where [is] this, the place of understanding? Man has not known its arrangement, || Nor is it found in the land of the living. The deep has said, It [is] not in me, || And the sea has said, It is not with me. Gold is not given for it, || Nor is silver weighed—its price. It is not valued with pure gold of Ophir, || With precious onyx and sapphire, Gold and crystal do not equal it, || Nor [is] its exchange a vessel of fine gold. Corals and pearl are not remembered, || The acquisition of wisdom [is] above rubies. The topaz of Cush does not equal it, || It is not valued with pure gold. And the wisdom—from where does it come? And where [is] this, the place of understanding? It has been hid from the eyes of all living. And from the bird of the heavens || It has been hidden. Destruction and death have said: With our ears we have heard its fame.
Sabedoria como dom de Deus
A verdadeira sabedoria vem do alto. Deus a concede generosamente a quem pede com fé, sem lançar em rosto a fraqueza humana.
And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who is giving to all generously, and not reproaching, and it will be given to him;
And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who is giving to all generously, and not reproaching, and it will be given to him;
And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who is giving to all generously, and not reproaching, and it will be given to him;
For YHWH gives wisdom, || Knowledge and understanding from His mouth.
For YHWH gives wisdom, || Knowledge and understanding from His mouth.
For if you call for intelligence, || [And] give forth your voice for intelligence, Then you understand the fear of YHWH, || And you find the knowledge of God.
You, O God of my fathers, I am thanking and praising, for wisdom and might You have given to me; and now, You have caused me to know that which we have sought from You, for the king’s matter You have caused us to know."
Daniel has answered and said, "Let the Name of God be blessed from age even to age, for wisdom and might—for they are His.
As for these four boys, God has given to them knowledge and understanding in every [kind of] literature, and wisdom; and Daniel has given instruction about every [kind of] vision and dreams.
A sabedoria do alto
A sabedoria que vem de Deus é pura, pacífica, amável, cheia de misericórdia e de bons frutos. Ela se opõe à sabedoria terrena e mundana.
but the wisdom from above, first, indeed, is pure, then peaceable, gentle, well-convinced, full of kindness and good fruits, uncontentious, and unhypocritical—
but the wisdom from above, first, indeed, is pure, then peaceable, gentle, well-convinced, full of kindness and good fruits, uncontentious, and unhypocritical—
but the wisdom from above, first, indeed, is pure, then peaceable, gentle, well-convinced, full of kindness and good fruits, uncontentious, and unhypocritical—
Who [is] wise and intelligent among you? Let him show his works out of good behavior in meekness of wisdom,
And wisdom we speak among the perfect, and wisdom not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age—of those becoming useless, but we speak the hidden wisdom of God in a secret, that God foreordained before the ages to our glory,
also we preach Christ crucified, to Jews, indeed, a stumbling-block, and to Greeks foolishness, and to those called—both Jews and Greeks—Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God, because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men;
Let no one deceive himself; if anyone seems to be wise among you in this age—let him become a fool, that he may become wise,
Let no one deceive himself; if anyone seems to be wise among you in this age—let him become a fool, that he may become wise,
that their hearts may be comforted, being united in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of the understanding, to the full knowledge of the secret of the God and Father, and of the Christ, in whom are all the treasures of the wisdom and the knowledge hid,
Direção e discernimento
Deus guia os humildes na justiça e ensina seu caminho aos mansos. Ele promete dirigir nossos passos quando confiamos nele de todo o coração.
Trust to YHWH with all your heart, || And do not lean to your own understanding. In all your ways know Him, || And He makes your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes, || Fear YHWH, and turn aside from evil.
I cause you to act wisely, || And direct you in the way that you go, || I cause My eye to take counsel concerning you.
He causes the humble to tread in judgment, || And teaches the humble His way.
Your ways, O YHWH, cause me to know, || You teach me Your paths. Cause me to tread in Your truth, and teach me, || For You [are] the God of my salvation, || Near You I have waited all the day.
The steps of a man [are] from YHWH, || They have been prepared, || And He desires his way.
Cause me to hear Your kindness in the morning, || For I have trusted in You, || Cause me to know the way that I go, || For I have lifted up my soul to You.
Teach me to do Your good pleasure, || For You [are] my God—Your Spirit [is] good, || Lead me into a land of uprightness. You quicken me for Your Name’s sake, O YHWH, || In Your righteousness, You bring out my soul from distress,
Show me, O YHWH, Your way, || And lead me in a path of uprightness, || For the sake of my beholders.
A Palavra como fonte de sabedoria
A Palavra de Deus é lâmpada para os pés e luz para o caminho. Meditar nas Escrituras nos dá entendimento superior ao dos mestres.
[NUN] Your word [is] a lamp to my foot, || And a light to my path.
[NUN] Your word [is] a lamp to my foot, || And a light to my path.
Uncover my eyes, and I behold wonders out of Your law.
The opening of Your words enlightens, || Instructing the simple.
O the blessedness of that one, || Who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, || And has not stood in the way of sinners, || And has not sat in the seat of scorners; But his delight [is] in the Law of YHWH, || And in His law he meditates by day and by night:
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing each other, in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, in grace singing in your hearts to the LORD;
In your going up and down, it leads you, || In your lying down, it watches over you, || And you have awoken—it talks [with] you.
Sabedoria prática para o dia a dia
A sabedoria se aplica em cada decisão: nas finanças, nos relacionamentos, no trabalho e no uso do tempo. Vivamos como sábios, não como insensatos.
See, then, how exactly you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil;
See, then, how exactly you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil;
Hear counsel and receive instruction, || So that you are wise in your latter end.
Hear counsel and receive instruction, || So that you are wise in your latter end.
Whoever is getting heart is loving his soul, || He is keeping understanding to find good.
You establish purposes by counsel, || And with plans you make war.
For you make war for yourself by plans, || And deliverance [is] in a multitude of counselors.
Whoever is slow to anger [is] of great understanding, || And whoever is short in temper is exalting folly.
A vain man causes debate through pride, || And wisdom [is] with the counseled.
Whoever is keeping his mouth, is keeping his soul, || Whoever is opening wide his lips—ruin to him!
The way of a fool [is] right in his own eyes, || And whoever is listening to counsel [is] wise.
Pride has come, and shame comes, || And wisdom [is] with the lowly.
The wise in heart accepts commands, || And a talkative fool kicks.
The heart of the intelligent gets knowledge, || And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
A fool does not delight in understanding, || But in uncovering his heart.
Even a fool keeping silence is reckoned wise, || He who is shutting his lips [seems] intelligent!
(The wise hear and increase learning, || And the intelligent obtain counsels.)
Walk in wisdom toward those outside, redeeming the time, your word always being seasoned with salt in grace—to know how it is necessary for you to answer each one.
Walk in wisdom toward those outside, redeeming the time, your word always being seasoned with salt in grace—to know how it is necessary for you to answer each one.
and all, whatever you may do—out of soul work—as to the LORD, and not to men, having known that you will receive the repayment of the inheritance from the LORD—for you serve the LORD Christ;
O valor da sabedoria
A sabedoria é mais preciosa que rubis. Quem a encontra, encontra a vida e alcança o favor do Senhor. Nada se compara a ela.
O the blessedness of a man [who] has found wisdom, || And of a man [who] brings forth understanding.
For whoever is finding me, has found life, || And brings out goodwill from YHWH.
To get wisdom—how much better than gold, || And to get understanding—to be chosen [more] than silver!
The heart of man devises his way, || And YHWH establishes his step.
Arrangements of the heart [are] of man, || An answer of the tongue from YHWH.
For wisdom [is] a defense, money [is] a defense, || And the advantage of the knowledge of wisdom [is], || She revives her possessors.
Do not say, "What was it, || That the former days were better than these?" For you have not asked wisely of this.
For to a man who [is] good before Him, He has given wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; and to a sinner He has given travail, to gather and to heap up, to give to the good before God. Even this [is] vanity and distress of spirit.
All that your hand finds to do, with your power do, for there is no work, and plan, and knowledge, and wisdom in Sheol to where you are going.
A sabedoria e a soberania de Deus
Os caminhos de Deus são mais altos que os nossos. Sua sabedoria é insondável, eterna e infinitamente superior ao entendimento humano.
"For [as] high [as] the heavens have been above the earth, || So high have been My ways above your ways, || And My thoughts above your thoughts.
"For My thoughts [are] not your thoughts, || Nor your ways My ways," || A declaration of YHWH,
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The God of the age—YHWH, || Preparer of the ends of the earth, || Is not wearied nor fatigued, || There is no searching of His understanding.
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The God of the age—YHWH, || Preparer of the ends of the earth, || Is not wearied nor fatigued, || There is no searching of His understanding.
Lord YHWH has given to Me || The tongue of taught ones, || To know to aid the weary [by] a word, || He awakens [Me] morning by morning, || He awakens [My] ear to hear as taught ones.
Woe [to] those going down to Egypt for help, || And [who] lean on horses, || And trust on chariots, because [they are] many, || And on horsemen, because [they are] very strong, || And have not looked on the Holy One of Israel, || And have not sought YHWH. And He [is] also wise, and brings in evil, || And He has not turned aside His words, || And He has risen against a house of evildoers, || And against the help of workers of iniquity.
Even this from YHWH of Hosts has gone out, || He has made counsel wonderful, || He has made wisdom great!
The Spirit of YHWH has rested on Him, || The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, || The Spirit of counsel and might, || The Spirit of knowledge and fear of YHWH. To refresh Him in the fear of YHWH, || And He does not judge by the sight of His eyes, || Nor decides by the hearing of His ears.
And YHWH continually leads you, || And has satisfied your soul in drought, || And He arms your bones, || And you have been as a watered garden, || And as an outlet of waters, whose waters do not lie.
O depth of riches, and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and untraceable His ways!
to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to Him [be] glory for all ages. Amen.
And we have known that to those loving God all things work together for good, to those who are called according to purpose;
How many have been Your works, O YHWH, || You have made all of them in wisdom, || The earth is full of your possessions.
Our Lord [is] great, and abundant in power, || There is no narration of His understanding.
You lead me with Your counsel, || And after, receive me [to] glory.
Let [us] know to number our days correctly, || And we bring the heart to wisdom.
The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, || And his tongue speaks judgment.
And delight yourself on YHWH, || And He gives to you the petitions of your heart.
O YHWH, lead me in Your righteousness, || Because of those observing me, || Make Your way straight before me,
You cause me to know the path of life; In Your presence [is] fullness of joys, || Pleasant things [are] by Your right hand forever!
They come in with weeping, || And I bring them with supplications, || I cause them to go to streams of waters, || In a right way—they do not stumble in it, || For I have been a Father to Israel, || And Ephraim—he [is] My firstborn."
I have known, O YHWH, that not of man [is] his way, || Not of man [is] the going and establishing of his step.
The Maker of the earth by His power, || The Establisher of the world by His wisdom, || Who, by His understanding, stretched forth the heavens—
Do not boast about tomorrow, || For you do not know what a day brings forth.
Evil men do not understand judgment, || And those seeking YHWH understand all.
and to Him who is able to do exceedingly [and] abundantly above all things that we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us, to Him [is] the glory in the Assembly in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age of the ages. Amen.
I come to you this third time; on the mouth of two or three witnesses will every saying be established;
and you have forgotten the exhortation that speaks fully to you as to sons, "My son, do not despise [the] discipline of [the] LORD, nor be faint, being reproved by Him, for whom the LORD loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom He receives";
As to the rest, brothers, as many things as are true, as many as [are] revered, as many as [are] righteous, as many as [are] pure, as many as [are] lovely, as many as [are] of good report, if any worthiness, and if any praise, think on these things;
Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for its own things; sufficient for the day [is] the evil of it."
A queen of the south will rise up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, [One] greater than Solomon [is] here!
Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock;
for I will give to you a mouth and wisdom that all your opposers will not be able to refute or resist.
Do not judge according to appearance, but the righteous judgment judge."
YHWH founded the earth by wisdom, || He prepared the heavens by understanding.
With the very aged [is] wisdom, || And [with] length of days [is] understanding. With Him [are] wisdom and might, || To Him [are] counsel and understanding.
And Job answers and says: "Truly I have known that [it is] so, || But how is man righteous with God? If he delights to strive with Him—He does not answer him one of a thousand. Wise in heart and strong in power—Who has hardened toward Him and is at peace?
He has declared to you, O man, what [is] good; Indeed, what is YHWH requiring of you, || Except—to do judgment, and love kindness, || And to walk lowly with your God?
and says to the ones judging, "See what you are doing—for you do not judge for man, but for YHWH, who [is] with you in the matter of judgment;
who does not know the thing of tomorrow; for what is your life? For it is a vapor that is appearing for a little [while], and then is vanishing;
