Sabedoria
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom: and before honor is humility.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
12 But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?13 Man knoweth not the price of it; neither is it found in the land of the living.14 The depth saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me.15 It cannot be obtained for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price of it.16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.17 The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.18 No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.19 The topaz of Cush shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.20 Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.22 Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame of it with our ears.
Sabedoria como dom de Deus
A verdadeira sabedoria vem do alto. Deus a concede generosamente a quem pede com fé, sem lançar em rosto a fraqueza humana.
5 If any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given to him.
5 If any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given to him.
5 If any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given to him.
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
3 Yes, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known to me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known to us the king's matter.
20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
A sabedoria do alto
A sabedoria que vem de Deus é pura, pacífica, amável, cheia de misericórdia e de bons frutos. Ela se opõe à sabedoria terrena e mundana.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show by a good deportment his works with meekness of wisdom.
6 However, we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world to our glory:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling-block, and to the Greeks foolishness;24 But to them who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
2 That their hearts may be comforted, being knit together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of understanding to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Direção e discernimento
Deus guia os humildes na justiça e ensina seu caminho aos mansos. Ele promete dirigir nossos passos quando confiamos nele de todo o coração.
5 Trust in the LORD with all thy heart; and lean not to thy own understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thy own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8 I will instruct thee, and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with my eye.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
4 Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
8 Cause me to hear thy loving-kindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way in which I should walk; for I lift up my soul to thee.
10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.11 Revive me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.
11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.
A Palavra como fonte de sabedoria
A Palavra de Deus é lâmpada para os pés e luz para o caminho. Meditar nas Escrituras nos dá entendimento superior ao dos mestres.
105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
18 Open thou my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding to the simple.
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers.2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
Sabedoria prática para o dia a dia
A sabedoria se aplica em cada decisão: nas finanças, nos relacionamentos, no trabalho e no uso do tempo. Vivamos como sábios, não como insensatos.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
8 He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
18 Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.
6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counselors there is safety.
29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well-advised is wisdom.
3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth to counsel is wise.
2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may reveal itself.
28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain to wise counsels:
5 Walk in wisdom towards them that are without, redeeming the time.6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
5 Walk in wisdom towards them that are without, redeeming the time.6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
23 And whatever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;24 Knowing that from the Lord ye will receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
O valor da sabedoria
A sabedoria é mais preciosa que rubis. Quem a encontra, encontra a vida e alcança o favor do Senhor. Nada se compara a ela.
13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
35 For whoever findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor from the LORD.
16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold? and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver?
9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, are from the LORD.
12 For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellence of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.
10 Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not inquire wisely concerning this.
26 For God giveth to a man who is good in his sight, wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth toil, to gather, and to amass, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
10 Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
A sabedoria e a soberania de Deus
Os caminhos de Deus são mais altos que os nossos. Sua sabedoria é insondável, eterna e infinitamente superior ao entendimento humano.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
4 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth my ear to hear as the learned.
1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and rely on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not to the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evil-doers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
29 This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in operation.
2 And the spirit of the LORD will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;3 And will make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he will not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
11 And the LORD will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drouth, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
27 To God the only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
28 And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
24 Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he will give thee the desires of thy heart.
8 \5:7\But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship towards thy holy temple.
11 Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.
9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first-born.
23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
1 Boast not thyself of to-morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
20 Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.21 To him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
1 This is the third time I am coming to you: By the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh to you as to children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked by him:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things.
34 Therefore be not anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be solicitous for the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is its own evil.
42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
24 Therefore whoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
12 With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.13 With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
1 Then Job answered and said,2 I know it to be so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?
8 He hath shown thee, O man, what is good; and what the LORD doth require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
6 And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.
14 Whereas ye know not what will be on the morrow: For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
