Salvador
Jesus é o Salvador do mundo. Desde a manjedoura até a cruz e a ressurreição, toda a Escritura aponta para Aquele que veio buscar e salvar o que se havia perdido.
O Salvador nasceu
Na plenitude dos tempos, Deus enviou seu Filho ao mundo. O anjo declarou: 'Hoje vos nasceu um Salvador, que é Cristo, o Senhor.'
because today in the city of David a Savior was born to you, who is Christ the LORD!
who, being in the form of God, thought [it] not something to be seized to be equal to God, but emptied Himself, having taken the form of a servant, having been made in the likeness of men, and having been found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself, having become obedient to death—even death of a cross,
And I [am] your God YHWH from the land of Egypt, || And you do not know a God besides Me, || And a Savior—there is none except Me.
O sacrifício redentor
Jesus deu a própria vida por nós. Ele é a propiciação pelos nossos pecados e o autor da salvação eterna para todos os que lhe obedecem.
and He is [the] propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for the whole world,
in this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son [as] the propitiation for our sins.
for if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we will be saved in His life.
having known that, not with corruptible things—silver or gold—were you redeemed from your foolish behavior inherited from our forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and unspotted—Christ’s—
in whom we have the redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of the trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me; and that which I now live in the flesh—I live in the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me;
O caminho da salvação
Jesus é o mediador da nova aliança. Ele vive para interceder por nós e pode salvar perfeitamente todos os que se achegam a Deus por meio dele.
and having been made perfect, He became the cause of continuous salvation to all those obeying Him,
from where also He is able to save to the very end, those coming through Him to God—ever living to make intercession for them.
And because of this, He is mediator of a new covenant, that [His] death having come for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those called may receive the promise of the continuous inheritance,
looking to the Author and Perfecter of the faith—Jesus, who, for the joy set before Him, endured a cross, having despised shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God;
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God— being declared righteous freely by His grace through the redemption that [is] in Christ Jesus,
Having obtained, therefore, help from God, until this day, I have stood witnessing both to small and to great, saying nothing besides the things that both the prophets and Moses spoke of as about to come, that the Christ is to suffer, whether first by a resurrection from the dead, He is about to proclaim light to the people and to the nations."
And the messenger answering said to the women, "Do not fear, for I have known that you seek Jesus who has been crucified; He is not here, for He rose, as He said; come, see the place where the LORD was lying;
That—I have known my Redeemer, || The Living and the Last, || For He raises the dust.
