11 because there was born to you to-day a Saviour -- who is Christ the Lord -- in the city of David,

6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal to God,7 but did empty himself, the form of a servant having taken, in the likeness of men having been made,8 and in fashion having been found as a man, he humbled himself, having become obedient unto death -- death even of a cross,

2 and he -- he is a propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world,

10 in this is the love, not that we loved God, but that He did love us, and did send His Son a propitiation for our sins.

10 for if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in his life.

18 having known that, not with corruptible things -- silver or gold -- were you redeemed from your foolish behaviour delivered by fathers,19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and unspotted -- Christ's --

7 in whom we have the redemption liberation through his blood, the remission pardoning of the trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,

20 with Christ I have been crucified, and live no more do I, and Christ does live in me; and that which I now live in the flesh -- in the faith I live of the Son of God, who did love me and did give himself for me;

9 and having been made perfect, he did become to all those obeying him a cause of salvation age-during,

25 whence also he is able to save to the very end, those coming through him unto God -- ever living to make intercession for them.

15 And because of this, of a new covenant he is mediator, that, death having come, for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those called may receive the promise of the age-during inheritance,

2 looking to the author and perfecter of faith -- Jesus, who, over-against the joy set before him -- did endure a cross, shame having despised, on the right hand also of the throne of God did sit down;

23 for all did sin, and are come short of the glory of God --24 being declared righteous freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

22 'Having obtained, therefore, help from God, till this day, I have stood witnessing both to small and to great, saying nothing besides the things that both the prophets and Moses spake of as about to come,23 that the Christ is to suffer, whether first by a rising from the dead, he is about to proclaim light to the people and to the nations.'

5 And the messenger answering said to the women, 'Fear not you, for I have known that Jesus, who has been crucified, you seek;6 he is not here, for he rose, as he said; come, see the place where the Lord was lying;
