O sangue de Jesus é o fundamento da redenção cristã. Através do seu sangue derramado na cruz, recebemos perdão, purificação e acesso à presença de Deus.
O poder redentor do sangue
O sangue de Cristo é o preço do nosso resgate. Sem derramamento de sangue não há remissão de pecados, e Cristo ofereceu o sacrifício perfeito e definitivo.
Perdão e purificação
O sangue de Jesus nos purifica de todo pecado. Nele temos redenção e perdão, segundo as riquezas de sua graça.
O sangue da aliança
Desde o Êxodo, o sangue é sinal de aliança entre Deus e seu povo. O sangue do Cordeiro pascal prefigurava o sacrifício supremo de Cristo.
21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for the fear of the Lord shall come upon them and the majesty of his glory shall smite them, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for wherein is he to be accounted of?
4 Upon the other plates should be engraven an account of the reign of the kings, and the wars and contentions of my people; wherefore these plates are for the more part of the ministry; and the other plates are for the more part of the reign of the kings and the wars and contentions of my people.5 Wherefore, the Lord hath commanded me to make these plates for a wise purpose in him, which purpose I know not.6 But the Lord knoweth all things from the beginning; wherefore, he prepareth a way to accomplish all his works among the children of men; for behold, he hath all power unto the fulfilling of all his words. And thus it is. Amen.

Os cristãos vencem o acusador pelo sangue do Cordeiro e pela palavra do seu testemunho. O sangue comprou para Deus gente de toda tribo e língua.
