Santidade
A santidade é o chamado supremo de Deus para o seu povo. 'Sede santos, porque eu sou santo' — essa ordem ressoa por toda a Escritura, convidando-nos a uma vida separada para Deus.
O chamado à santidade
Deus nos escolheu antes da fundação do mundo para sermos santos. A santificação é sua vontade expressa e nosso destino em Cristo.
but according as He who called you [is] holy, you also, become holy in all behavior, because it has been written: "Become holy, because I am holy";

according as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, for our being holy and unblemished before Him, in love,
for this is the will of God—your sanctification: that you abstain from the whoredom, that each of you know to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the affection of desire, as also the nations that were not knowing God, that no one goes beyond and defrauds his brother in the matter, because the LORD [is] an avenger of all these, as we also spoke to you before and testified, for God did not call us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.

A santidade se expressa em pensamentos puros, ações corretas e separação do pecado. É um processo contínuo de purificação e dedicação a Deus.

A Palavra que santifica
Jesus disse: 'Santifica-os na verdade; a tua palavra é a verdade.' A Bíblia é o instrumento de Deus para nos purificar e transformar.

Have you not known that you are a temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in you?

The more eagerly, therefore, I sent him, that having seen him again you may rejoice, and I may be less sorrowful; receive him, therefore, in the LORD, with all joy, and hold such in honor, because on account of the work of the Christ he drew near to death, having hazarded life that he might fill up your deficiency of service to me.
You will therefore be perfect, as your Father who [is] in the heavens is perfect."

Seek good, and not evil, that you may live, and it is so; YHWH, God of Hosts, [is] with you, as you said.
The commencement of wisdom [is] the fear of YHWH, || And a knowledge of the Holy Ones [is] understanding.
A snare to a man [that] he has swallowed a holy thing, || And to make inquiry after vows.
And you have been holy to Me, for I, YHWH, [am] holy; and I separate you from the peoples to become Mine.

Sing to God—praise His Name, || Raise up a highway for Him who is riding in deserts, || In YAH [is] His Name, and exult before Him. Father of the fatherless, and judge of the widows, || [Is] God in His holy habitation.
