Saúde
A saúde é uma bênção de Deus. A Bíblia ensina que Deus é nosso curador, que devemos cuidar do corpo como templo do Espírito e que a alegria do Senhor renova nossas forças.
Deus, o nosso curador
O Senhor é quem sara todas as nossas doenças. Ele prometeu abençoar o pão e a água e tirar as enfermidades do meio do seu povo.
25 And ye have served Jehovah your God, and He hath blessed thy bread and thy water, and I have turned aside sickness from thine heart;
3 Who is giving healing to the broken of heart, And is binding up their griefs.
8 infirm ones be healing, lepers be cleansing, dead be raising, demons be casting out -- freely ye did receive, freely give.
12 And Jesus having heard, said to them, They who are whole have no need of a physician, but they who are ill;
O corpo como templo
Nosso corpo é templo do Espírito Santo. A Bíblia nos encoraja a cuidar da saúde física com disciplina e reverência a Deus.
19 Have ye not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own,20 for ye were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods.
8 for the bodily exercise is unto little profit, and the piety is to all things profitable, a promise having of the life that now is, and of that which is coming;
2 beloved, concerning all things I desire thee to prosper, and to be in health, even as thy soul doth prosper,
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes, Fear Jehovah, and turn aside from evil.8 Healing it is to thy navel, And moistening to thy bones.
A alegria que cura
O coração alegre é bom remédio. A esperança do coração traz alegria, e as palavras agradáveis são como favo de mel — doçura para a alma e saúde para o corpo.
22 A rejoicing heart doth good to the body, And a smitten spirit drieth the bone.
24 Sayings of pleasantness [are] a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul, and healing to the bone.
12 Hope prolonged is making the heart sick, And a tree of life [is] the coming desire.
10 And turn aside anger from thy heart, And cause evil to pass from thy flesh, For the childhood and the age [are] vanity!
