O Salmo 23 é a expressão máxima da confiança em Deus como Pastor. Jesus se declarou o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas, cuida delas e dá a própria vida por elas.

Davi declarou com confiança que o Senhor é seu pastor e nada lhe faltará. Ele nos guia, nos restaura e nos conduz em caminhos de justiça.

O Bom Pastor
Jesus é o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas pelo nome. Ele dá a vida por elas, as protege e nenhuma pode ser arrebatada de sua mão.
11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me.15 As the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for my sheep.16 And other sheep I have, that are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.
2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.4 And when he hath let out his own sheep, he goeth before them: and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.
25 For you were as sheep going astray; but you are now converted to the shepherd and bishop of your souls.
4 And when the prince of pastors shall appear, you shall receive a never fading crown of glory.
O cuidado pastoral de Deus
Como pastor terno e forte, Deus carrega os cordeiros nos braços e guia com cuidado as ovelhas que amamentam.
10 Behold the Lord God shall come with strength, and his arm shall rule: Behold his reward is with him and his work is before him.11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather together the lambs with his arm, and shall take them up in his bosom, and he himself shall carry them that are with young.
