The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;

he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

Even when I walk

through the darkest valley,

I will not be afraid,

for you are close beside me.

Your rod and your staff

protect and comfort me.

He heals the brokenhearted

and bandages their wounds.

No, I will not abandon you as orphansI will come to you.

Even if my father and mother abandon me,

the Lord will hold me close.

Esperança e conforto

A separação não é o fim. Deus transforma a dor em esperança, e o sofrimento presente produz uma glória eterna que supera toda aflição.

The Hope of the Resurrection

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.

The Future Glory

Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies goldthough your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Amor que persevera

O amor verdadeiro é mais forte que a separação. A fé nos sustenta e nos dá a certeza de que o reencontro virá.

Many waters cannot quench love,

nor can rivers drown it.

If a man tried to buy love

with all his wealth,

his offer would be utterly scorned.

But it was also called Mizpah (which means "watchtower"), for Laban said, "May the Lord keep watch between us to make sure that we keep this covenant when we are out of each other’s sight.

I asked the Lord to give me this boy, and he has granted my request. Now I am giving him to the Lord, and he will belong to the Lord his whole life." And they worshiped the Lord there.

I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ
