Temor do Senhor
The fear of the Lordis the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do Hiscommandments.
His praise endures forever.
"The fear of the Lordis the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
The fear of the Lordis the instruction of wisdom,
And before honor is humility.
And to man He said,
‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,
And to depart from evil is understanding.’ "
The fear of the Lordis clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lordare true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired arethey than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them thereis great reward.
Bênçãos do temor
Quem teme ao Senhor encontra vida longa, provisão e proteção. O temor de Deus nos guarda do mal e nos conduz à humildade.
By humility and the fear of the Lord
Are riches and honor and life.
The fear of the Lord prolongs days,
But the years of the wicked will be shortened.
The fear of the Lordis a fountain of life,
To turn one away from the snares of death.
In mercy and truth
Atonement is provided for iniquity;
And by the fear of the Lordone departs from evil.
Happy is the man who is always reverent,
But he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity.
Oh, taste and see that the Lordis good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints!
Thereis no want to those who fear Him.
Vivendo no temor do Senhor
Temer ao Senhor é obedecer seus mandamentos, andar em seus caminhos e amá-lo de todo coração. Essa reverência se expressa em justiça e integridade.
You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.
"Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.
Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
Come, you children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Who is the man who desires life,
And loves many days, that he may see good?
Keep your tongue from evil,
And your lips from speaking deceit.
Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it.
Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for thereis no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes."
You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but shall fear your God: I am the Lord.
Therefore you shall not oppress one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the Lord your God.
Lending to the Poor
‘If one of your brethren becomes poor, and falls into poverty among you, then you shall help him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you. Take no usury or interest from him; but fear your God, that your brother may live with you.
Jesus Teaches the Fear of God
"And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!
