1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
28 And fear not them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
4 And I say to you, my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, who after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, Fear him.
Confiança em Deus acima do medo
Quando tememos a Deus, o medo dos homens perde o poder. O Senhor está conosco, e se Ele é por nós, quem será contra nós?
3 \56:2\My enemies would daily swallow me up: for they are many that fight against me, O thou Most High.4 \56:3\In the time when I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do to me?
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.
22 Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.
6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.
