3 Lo, children are an inheritance from the Lord: a reward is the fruit of the body.4 Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth.5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver filled with them: they shall not be put to shame, when they do speak with the enemies in the gate.

3 Thy wife is then as a fruitful vine in the recesses of thy house: thy children, like oliveplants round about thy table.

9 He causeth the barren woman to dwell in the midst of her household, the joyful mother of children. Hallelujah.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heaven, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

6 Train up the lad in accordance with his course: even when he groweth old, will he not depart from it.

18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul; and ye shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.19 And ye shall teach them to your children, to speak of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

17 Correct thy son, and he will procure thee rest: yea, he will give delight unto thy soul.

5 Before yet I had formed thee in thy mothers body I knew thee; and before thou wast yet come forth out of the womb I sanctified thee: a prophet unto the nations did I ordain thee.

13 For thou possessest my reins: thou hast covered me in my mothers womb.14 I will thank thee therefore, that I am so fearfully and wonderfully made: wonderful are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.15 My being was not concealed from thee, when I was made in secret, when I was so to say embroidered in the lowest parts of the earth.

2 (8:3) Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou founded thy might, because of thy opponents, that thou mightest bring to silence the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.
