Trabalhar para Deus vai além do ofício secular. É dedicar a vida inteira — palavras, ações e atitudes — ao serviço do Reino, reconhecendo que cada tarefa pode glorificar o Senhor.
Servindo ao Senhor em tudo
Quando trabalhamos como para Deus, cada ação se torna um ato de adoração. Não importa a tarefa — o que importa é o coração dedicado.
23 Whatsoever ye may be doing, from the soul, be working at it, as unto the Lord, and not unto men,-24 Knowing that, from the Lord, ye shall duly receive the recompense of the inheritance,unto the Lord Christ, are ye in service;
15 Give diligence, thyself, approved, to present unto God,a workman not to be put to shame, skillfully handling the word of truth.
22 Become ye doers of the word, and not hearers onlyreasoning yourselves astray;
11 And to be ambitious to be quiet, and to be attending to your own affairs, and to be working with your hands,even as, unto you, we gave charge12 That ye should walk reputably toward those without, and, of no one, have, need.
Chamados para as boas obras
Fomos criados em Cristo Jesus para boas obras, que Deus preparou de antemão para que andássemos nelas. Não somos salvos por obras, mas para obras.
10 His, in fact we arehis workmanship, created in Christ Jesus upon a footing of good works, which God prepared beforehand, that, therein, we might walk.
16 Knowing, however, that a man is not declared righteous by works of law, save through faith in Christ Jesus; even we, on Christ Jesus, believed, that we might be declared righteousby faith in Christ, and not by works of law; because, by works of law, shall no flesh be declared righteous.
8 Moreover God is able to cause, every gracious gift, to superabound unto you, in order that, having in every thing, at every time, every kind of sufficiency of your own, ye may be superabounding unto every good work;
12 So, then, my belovedeven as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but, now, much more, in my absence, with fear and trembling, your own salvation, be working out;13 For it is, God, who energiseth within you, both the desiring and the energising, in behalf of his good pleasure.14 All things, be doing, apart from murmurings and disputings;15 In order that ye may become faultless and inviolate, children of God, blameless amidst a crooked and perverted generation, amongst whom ye appear as luminaries in the world,16 A word of light, holding forth,as a matter of boasting unto me, for the day of Christ,that, not in vain, I ran, nor, in vain, I toiled:
A missão do cristão
O chamado a trabalhar para Deus inclui a Grande Comissão: fazer discípulos de todas as nações, cooperando com Ele na expansão do Reino.
19 Go ye, therefore, and disciple all the nations, Immersing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

9 For we are, Gods, fellow-workmen: ye are, Gods, farm, Gods building.
10 For, we all, must needs be made manifest before the judgment seat of the Christ, that each one may get back the things done by means of the body, according to the things which he practised, whether good or corrupt.
