Quanto uma pessoa vale para Deus
Para a Bíblia, o valor de uma pessoa não depende do que ela produz, ganha ou aparenta, mas do amor do Criador que a formou. Jesus recorria a exemplos simples da rotina — aves comuns vendidas por moedas de pouco valor e flores do campo — para demonstrar que a vida humana tem um peso incomparavelmente maior diante do Pai.
Aren’t two sparrows sold for just one penny? But not a single one of them falls to the ground without your Father knowing about it. Even the hairs on your head have all been counted. So don’t worry—you’re worth more than many sparrows!(Matthew 10:29-31)

Na relação com o povo de Israel, Deus descreveu os seus como um tesouro particular. O valor de alguém não nasce de merecimento próprio, mas da aliança e da honra que Deus mesmo decide conceder.
Because you are so valuable to me, because I honor you, and because I love you, I give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your lives.(Isaiah 43:4)

O que a Bíblia considera de verdadeiro valor
O mundo costuma medir o valor de algo pelo preço de mercado ou pelo status exterior. As Escrituras invertem essa lógica: o que permanece e tem valor eterno é o caráter moldado pela fidelidade, as palavras de integridade e a fé que se expressa concretamente em amor ao próximo.
Hold on to kindness and truth. Tie them around your neck; write them in your mind. That way you’ll gain a good reputation and be appreciated by both God and people.(Proverbs 3:3,4)
What good people say is like the best silver, but the mind of the wicked isn’t worth much.(Proverbs 10:20)
Who can find a strong, capable wife? She’s worth more than jewels!(Proverbs 31:10)
For in Christ Jesus being circumcised or uncircumcised doesn’t achieve anything; it’s only trust working through love that matters.(Galatians 5:6)
But I don’t consider my life as worth anything to me. I only want to finish my mission and the ministry that the Lord Jesus gave to me, to witness to the good news of the grace of God.(Acts 20:24)
