2 In My Father’s house are many *rooms; if that were not so,*I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you.3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be.

9 And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight. 10 And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, then behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them, 11 and they said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven."

20 He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

12 "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to reward each one as his work *deserves.

36 "But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.37 For *the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,39 and they did not *understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

32 But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

1 Now as to the periods and *times, brothers and sisters, you have no need of anything to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord is coming just like a thief in the night. 3 While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction *will come upon them like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.43 But *be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.44 For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

1 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, regarding the *coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your *composure or be disturbed either by a spirit, or a *message, or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the *apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above *every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a *shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

24 "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light,25 and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.26 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.27 And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His *elect from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of heaven.

31 "But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.32 And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;33 and He will put the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left.

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will *rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the *wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: "KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS."

26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and the glory of the Father and the holy angels.

8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and *its works will be *discovered.

11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

27 And just as it is destined for people to die once, and after this comes judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
