1 Assim trabalharam Bezalel e Aoliabe, e todo o homem sábio de coração, a quem o Senhor dera sabedoria e inteligência, para saber como haviam de fazer toda a obra para o serviço do santuário, conforme a tudo o que o Senhor tinha ordenado.2 Então Moisés chamou a Bezalel e a Aoliabe, e a todo o homem sábio de coração, em cujo coração o Senhor tinha dado sabedoria; a todo aquele a quem o seu coração moveu a se chegar à obra para fazê-la.3 Estes receberam de Moisés toda a oferta alçada, que trouxeram os filhos de Israel para a obra do serviço do santuário, para fazê-la, e ainda eles lhe traziam cada manhã ofertas voluntárias.4 E vieram todos os sábios, que faziam toda a obra do santuário, cada um da obra que fazia,5 E falaram a Moisés, dizendo: O povo traz muito mais do que basta para o serviço da obra que o Senhor ordenou se fizesse.6 Então mandou Moisés que proclamassem por todo o arraial, dizendo: Nenhum homem, nem mulher, faça mais obra alguma para a oferta alçada do santuário. Assim o povo foi proibido de trazer mais,7 Porque tinham material bastante para toda a obra que havia de fazer-se, e ainda sobejava.8 Assim todo o sábio de coração, entre os que faziam a obra, fez o tabernáculo de dez cortinas de linho fino torcido, e de azul, e de púrpura, e de carmesim, com querubins; da obra mais esmerada as fez.9 O comprimento de cada cortina era de vinte e oito côvados, e a largura de quatro côvados; todas as cortinas tinham uma mesma medida.10 E ligou cinco cortinas uma com a outra; e outras cinco cortinas também ligou uma com outra.11 Depois fez laçadas de azul na borda de uma cortina, à extremidade, na juntura; assim também fez na borda, à extremidade da juntura da segunda cortina.12 Cinquenta laçadas fez numa cortina, e cinquenta laçadas fez numa extremidade da cortina, que se ligava com a segunda; estas laçadas eram contrapostas uma a outra.13 Também fez cinquenta colchetes de ouro, e com estes colchetes uniu as cortinas uma com a outra; e assim foi feito um tabernáculo.14 Fez também cortinas de pelos de cabras para a tenda sobre o tabernáculo; fez onze cortinas.15 O comprimento de uma cortina era de trinta côvados, e a largura de uma cortina, de quatro côvados; estas onze cortinas tinham uma mesma medida.16 E uniu cinco cortinas à parte, e outras seis à parte,17 E fez cinquenta laçadas na borda da última cortina, na juntura; também fez cinquenta laçadas na borda da cortina, na outra juntura.18 Fez também cinquenta colchetes de metal, para ajuntar a tenda, para que fosse um todo.19 Fez também, para a tenda, uma coberta de peles de carneiros, tintas de vermelho; e por cima uma coberta de peles de texugos.20 Também fez, de madeira de acácia, tábuas levantadas para o tabernáculo, que foram colocadas verticalmente.21 O comprimento de cada tábua era de dez côvados, e a largura de cada tábua era de um côvado e meio.22 Cada tábua tinha duas cavilhas pregadas uma a outra; assim fez com todas as tábuas do tabernáculo.23 Assim, pois, fez as tábuas para o tabernáculo; vinte tábuas para o lado que dá para o sul;24 E fez quarenta bases de prata debaixo das vinte tábuas; duas bases debaixo de uma tábua, para as suas duas cavilhas, e duas bases debaixo de outra, para as suas duas cavilhas.25 Também fez vinte tábuas ao outro lado do tabernáculo, do lado norte,26 Com as suas quarenta bases de prata; duas bases debaixo de uma tábua, e duas bases debaixo de outra tábua.27 E ao lado do tabernáculo para o ocidente fez seis tábuas.28 Fez também duas tábuas para os cantos do tabernáculo nos dois lados,29 As quais por baixo estavam juntas, e também se ajuntavam por cima com uma argola; assim fez com ambas nos dois cantos.30 Assim eram oito tábuas com as suas bases de prata, a saber, dezesseis bases; duas bases debaixo de cada tábua.31 Fez também travessas de madeira de acácia; cinco para as tábuas de um lado do tabernáculo,32 E cinco travessas para as tábuas do outro lado do tabernáculo; e outras cinco travessas para as tábuas do tabernáculo do lado ocidental.33 E fez que a travessa do meio passasse pelo meio das tábuas de uma extremidade até a outra.34 E cobriu as tábuas de ouro, e as suas argolas (os lugares das travessas) fez de ouro; as travessas também cobriu de ouro.35 Depois fez o véu de azul, e de púrpura, e de carmesim, e de linho fino torcido; de obra esmerada o fez com querubins.36 E fez-lhe quatro colunas de madeira de acácia, e as cobriu de ouro; e seus colchetes fez de ouro, e fundiu-lhe quatro bases de prata.37 Fez também para a porta da tenda o véu de azul, e de púrpura, e de carmesim, e de linho fino torcido, da obra do bordador,38 Com as suas cinco colunas e os seus colchetes; e as suas cabeças e as suas molduras cobriu de ouro; e as suas cinco bases eram de cobre.

1 And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every wise–hearted man, in whom the Lord hath put wisdom and understanding to know how to do every manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall make all, just as the Lord hath commanded.2 And Moses called for Bezalel and Aholiab, and every wise–hearted man in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, every one whose heart stirred him up to come near unto the work to do it:3 And they received from Moses the whole of the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it; and these brought unto him yet more free–will offerings morning after morning.4 And then came all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, every man from his own work which they were doing.5 And they said unto Moses, thus, The people bring more than is required for the service of the work, which the Lord hath commanded to make.6 And Moses gave the command, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary: so the people were restrained from bringing more.7 And the stuff prepared was sufficient for all the work to make it, and there was some over.8 And all the wise–hearted men, among those who wrought the work, made the tabernacle of ten curtains; of twisted linen thread, and blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn; with cherubim, of weaver’s work, made he them.9 The length of each curtain was twenty–eight cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits: there was one measure for all the curtains.10 And he coupled together five of the curtains one to another: and the other five curtains he coupled one to another.11 And he made loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain, which was the outside in the coupling: the like he made on the border of the curtain, which was the outmost on the second coupling.12 Fifty loops made he on the one curtain, and fifty loops made he on the edge of the curtain which was in the second coupling: the loops were fixed opposite to each other.13 And he made fifty hooks of gold; and he coupled the curtains together one unto the other with the hooks, and the tabernacle became thus one piece.14 And he made curtains of goats’ hair for a tent over the tabernacle; eleven curtains made he the same.15 The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits was the breadth of each curtain: there was one measure for the eleven curtains.16 And he coupled five of the curtains by themselves, and six of the curtains by themselves.17 And he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that was the outmost in the coupling, and fifty loops made he on the edge of the curtain of the second coupling.18 And he made fifty hooks of copper, to couple the tent together that it might be one piece.19 And he made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers’ skins above.20 And he made the boards for the tabernacle, of shittim wood, standing up.21 Ten cubits was the length of each board, and one cubit and a half was the breadth of each one board.22 There were two tenons for every board, fitted in, one against the other: the like made he for all the boards of the tabernacle.23 And he made the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side, on the right.24 And forty sockets of silver made he under the twenty boards; two sockets under the one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under the other board for its two tenons.25 And for the other side of the tabernacle, for the north side, he made twenty boards:26 And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under the one board, and two sockets under the other board.27 And for the back wall of the tabernacle, westward, he made six boards.28 And two boards made he for the corners of the tabernacle in the back wall.29 And they were closely fitting beneath, and they were closely joined together on the top, by means of one ring; thus he did to both of them, for both the corners.30 And so there were eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets, two sockets under every board.31 And he made bars of shittim wood; five, for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle;32 And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the back wall, westward.33 And he made the middle bar to pass through the midst of the boards from the one end to the other end.34 And the boards he overlaid with gold, and their rings he made of gold, as receptacles for the bars, and he overlaid the bars with gold.35 And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and twisted linen; of weaver’s work made he it, with cherubim.36 And he made thereunto four pillars of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, their hooks also were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver.37 And he made a hanging for the door of the tabernacle, of blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and twisted linen; the work of the embroiderer;38 And its five pillars with their hooks: and he overlaid their tops and made their fillets with gold; and their five sockets were of copper.
