5 O cordeiro será sem defeito, macho de um ano; podereis tomar um cordeiro ou um cabrito; 6 e o guardareis até ao décimo quarto dia deste mês, e todo o ajuntamento da congregação de Israel o imolará no crepúsculo da tarde. 7 Tomarão do sangue e o porão em ambas as ombreiras e na verga da porta, nas casas em que o comerem;

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old: ye shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats: 6 and ye shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at even. 7 And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side-posts and on the lintel, upon the houses wherein they shall eat it.

5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats.

6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.

7 Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.
