1 ولكن اعلم هذا انه في الايام الاخيرة ستأتي ازمنة صعبة.2 لان الناس يكونون محبين لانفسهم محبين للمال متعظمين مستكبرين مجدّفين غير طائعين لوالديهم غير شاكرين دنسين3 بلا حنو بلا رضى ثالبين عديمي النزاهة شرسين غير محبين للصلاح4 خائنين مقتحمين متصلفين محبين للذات دون محبة لله5 لهم صورة التقوى ولكنهم منكرون قوّتها. فاعرض عن هؤلاء.6 فانه من هؤلاء هم الذين يدخلون البيوت ويسبون نسيّات محمّلات خطايا منساقات بشهوات مختلفة7 يتعلمن في كل حين ولا يستطعن ان يقبلن الى معرفة الحق ابدا.8 وكما قاوم ينّيس ويمبريس موسى كذلك هؤلاء ايضا يقاومون الحق. اناس فاسدة اذهانهم ومن جهة الايمان مرفوضون.9 لكنهم لا يتقدمون اكثر لان حمقهم سيكون واضحا للجميع كما كان حمق ذينك ايضا10 واما انت فقد تبعت تعليمي وسيرتي وقصدي وايماني واناتي ومحبتي وصبري11 واضطهاداتي وآلامي مثل ما اصابني في انطاكية وايقونية ولسترة. ايّة اضطهادات احتملت. ومن الجميع انقذني الرب.12 وجميع الذين يريدون ان يعيشوا بالتقوى في المسيح يسوع يضطهدون.13 ولكن الناس الاشرار المزوّرين سيتقدمون الى اردأ مضلّين ومضلّين.14 واما انت فاثبت على ما تعلمت وايقنت عارفا ممن تعلمت.15 وانك منذ الطفولية تعرف الكتب المقدسة القادرة ان تحكّمك للخلاص بالايمان الذي في المسيح يسوع.16 كل الكتاب هو موحى به من الله ونافع للتعليم والتوبيخ للتقويم والتأديب الذي في البر17 لكي يكون انسان الله كاملا متأهبا لكل عمل صالح

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,3 Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,4 Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest to all men, as their' also was.10 But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, charity, patience,11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.12 Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.14 But continue you in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;15 And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.
