1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman conceive seed, and bear a man-child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of the impurity of her sickness shall she be unclean. 3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. 4 And she shall continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled. 5 But if she bear a maid-child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her impurity; and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.

6 And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb a year old for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a sin-offering, unto the door of the tent of meeting, unto the priest: 7 and he shall offer it before Jehovah, and make atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. This is the law for her that beareth, whether a male or a female. 8 And if her means suffice not for a lamb, then she shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons; the one for a burnt-offering, and the other for a sin-offering: and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.

1 耶和华对摩西说：2 "你要告诉以色列人：如果有妇人怀孕，生了男孩，她就不洁净七天，好象患病污秽的日子不洁净一样。3 第八天男婴要受割礼。4 妇人洁净产血的时期要住在家三十三天；得洁净的日子未满之前，她不可触摸任何圣物，也不可进入圣洁的地方。5 如果她生了女孩，就不洁净十四天，像月经污秽的日子一样；妇人洁净产血的时期，要住在家里六十六天。

6 "洁净的日子满了，不论是为男孩或是为女孩，她都要用一只一岁的绵羊羔作燔祭，一只雏鸽，或一只斑鸠作赎罪祭，带到会幕门口那里，交给祭司。7 祭司把供物献在耶和华面前，为她赎罪，她的血就洁净了。以上是生育男女的律例。8 她的经济能力若是不够献一只羊羔，她可以拿两只斑鸠，或是两只雏鸽，一只作燔祭，一只作赎罪祭；祭司要为她赎罪，她就洁净了。"
