12 Then brought all Judah the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries. 13 And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah; for they were counted faithful, and their business was to distribute unto their brethren. 14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the observances thereof.

12 Aí todo o povo de Israel começou de novo a trazer para os depósitos do Templo a décima parte dos cereais, do vinho e do azeite. 13 Eu encarreguei de tomar conta dos depósitos os seguintes homens: o sacerdote Selemias, Zadoque, o escrivão, e um levita chamado Pedaías. E como ajudante deles pus Hanã, filho de Zacur e neto de Matanias. Eu sabia que podia confiar nesses homens e que eles seriam honestos na divisão dos mantimentos com os seus colegas de trabalho.

14 "Ó meu Deus, lembra de todas essas coisas que eu tenho feito pelo teu Templo e pelo seu serviço."
