Ezequiel 2

1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak with thee. 2 And the Spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet; and I heard him that spake unto me. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to nations that are rebellious, which have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me even unto this very day. 4 And the children are impudent and stiffhearted: I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah. 5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear (for they are a rebellious house), yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. 6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house. 7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear; for they are most rebellious.

8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that which I give thee. 9 And when I looked, behold, a hand was put forth unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; 10 and he spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

1 Y DÍJOME: ✝2.1 Dn. 8.17.Hijo del hombre, está sobre tus pies, y hablaré contigo.

2 Y ✝2.2 cp. 3.24.entró espíritu en mí luego que me habló, y afirmóme sobre mis pies, y oía al que me hablaba.

3 Y díjome: Hijo del hombre, yo te envío á los hijos de Israel, á gentes rebeldes que se rebelaron contra mí: ellos y sus padres se han rebelado contra mí hasta este mismo día.

4 Yo pues ✝2.4 cp. 3.7.te envío á hijos de duro rostro y de empedernido corazón; y les dirás: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová.

5 Acaso ellos escuchen; y si no escucharen, (porque son una rebelde familia,) ✝2.5 cp. 33.33.siempre conocerán que hubo profeta entre ellos.

6 Y tú, hijo del hombre, ✝2.6 Jer. 1.8. cp. 3.9no temas de ellos, ni tengas miedo de sus palabras, aunque te hallas entre zarzas y espinas, y tú moras con escorpiones: no tengas miedo de sus palabras, ni temas delante de ellos, porque son casa rebelde.

7 Les hablarás pues ✝2.7 Jer. 1.7.mis palabras, escuchen ó dejen de escuchar; porque son muy rebeldes.

8 Mas tú, hijo del hombre, oye lo que yo te hablo; no seas tú rebelde como la casa rebelde: abre tu boca, y ✝2.8 cp. 3.3. Ap. 10.9.come lo que yo te doy.

9 Y miré, y he aquí ✝2.9 Jer. 1.9. cp. 8.3. Dn. 10.10. Ap. 10.2.una mano me fué enviada, y en ella ✝2.9 cp. 3.1-3.había un rollo de libro.

10 Y extendiólo delante de mí, y estaba escrito ✝2.10 Ap. 5.1.delante y detrás: y había ✝2.10 Ap. 10.10.escritas en él endechas, y lamentación, y ayes.
