4 riseth from supper, and layeth aside his garments; and he took a towel, and girded himself. 5 Then he poureth water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

4 Men han stod upp från måltiden och lade av sig överklädnaden och tog en linneduk och band den om sig.

5 Sedan slog han vatten i ett bäcken och begynte två lärjungarnas fötter och torkade dem med linneduken som han hade bundit om sig.
