1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak with thee. 2 And the Spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet; and I heard him that spake unto me. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to nations that are rebellious, which have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me even unto this very day. 4 And the children are impudent and stiffhearted: I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah. 5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear (for they are a rebellious house), yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. 6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house. 7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear; for they are most rebellious.

8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that which I give thee. 9 And when I looked, behold, a hand was put forth unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; 10 and he spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

Tu să le spui: ‘Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu!’ 5 Fie*Cap. 3:11,26,27. că vor asculta, fie că nu vor asculta – căci sunt o casă de îndărătnici –, vor ști*Cap. 33:33. totuși că în mijlocul lor este un proroc. 6 Tu, fiu al omului, să nu te*Ier. 1:8,17.Luca 12:4. temi de ei, nici să nu te sperii de cuvintele lor și, măcar că ei sunt niște mărăcini*Is. 9:18.Ier. 6:28.Mica 7:4. și spini lângă tine și măcar că locuiești împreună cu niște scorpii, totuși nu te teme*Cap. 3:9.1 Pet. 3:14. de cuvintele lor și nu te înspăimânta de fețele lor, căci sunt*Cap. 3:9,26,27. o casă de îndărătnici. 7 Ci să le spui*Ier. 1:7,17. cuvintele Mele, fie*Vers. 5. că vor asculta, fie că nu vor asculta, căci sunt niște îndărătnici! 8 Tu însă, fiul omului, ascultă ce-ți spun! Nu fi îndărătnic, ca această casă de îndărătnici! Deschide-ți gura și mănâncă*Apoc. 10:9. ce-ți voi da!" 9 M-am uitat și iată că o mână era întinsă*Cap. 8:3.Ier. 1:9. spre mine și ținea o carte în chip*Cap. 3:1. de sul. 10 A desfășurat-o înaintea mea și era scrisă și pe dinăuntru, și pe dinafară; în ea erau scrise bocete, plângeri și gemete.
