1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying, 2 Moreover let the children of Israel keep the passover in its appointed season. 3 In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in its appointed season: according to all the statutes of it, and according to all the ordinances thereof, shall ye keep it. 4 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover. 5 And they kept the passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at even, in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel. 6 And there were certain men, who were unclean by reason of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day: 7 and those men said unto him, We are unclean by reason of the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer the oblation of Jehovah in its appointed season among the children of Israel? 8 And Moses said unto them, Stay ye, that I may hear what Jehovah will command concerning you.

9 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your generations shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be on a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto Jehovah. 11 In the second month on the fourteenth day at even they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs: 12 they shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break a bone thereof: according to all the statute of the passover they shall keep it. 13 But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people; because he offered not the oblation of Jehovah in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. 14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto Jehovah; according to the statute of the passover, and according to the ordinance thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one statute, both for the sojourner, and for him that is born in the land.

15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony: and at even it was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning. 16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night. 17 And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel encamped. 18 At the commandment of Jehovah the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of Jehovah they encamped: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they remained encamped. 19 And when the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of Jehovah, and journeyed not. 20 And sometimes the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Jehovah they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Jehovah they journeyed. 21 And sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they journeyed: or if it continued by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they journeyed. 22 Whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, abiding thereon, the children of Israel remained encamped, and journeyed not; but when it was taken up, they journeyed. 23 At the commandment of Jehovah they encamped, and at the commandment of Jehovah they journeyed: they kept the charge of Jehovah, at the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.

1 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise în pustia Sinai, în luna întâi a anului al doilea după ieșirea lor din țara Egiptului. Și a zis: 2 „Copiii lui Israel să prăznuiască Paștele*Exod 12:1.Lev. 23:5. Cap. 28:16.Deut. 16:1,2. la vremea hotărâtă. 3 Să le prăznuiți la vremea hotărâtă, în a paisprezecea zi a lunii acesteia, seara*9:3 Evreiește: între cele două seri.; să le prăznuiți după toate legile și după toate poruncile privitoare la ele." 4 Moise a vorbit copiilor lui Israel să prăznuiască Paștele. 5 Și au*Ios. 5:10. prăznuit Paștele în a paisprezecea zi a lunii întâi, seara, în pustia Sinai; copiii lui Israel au făcut întocmai după toate poruncile pe care le dăduse lui Moise Domnul. 6 S-a întâmplat că niște oameni, fiind necurați*Cap. 5:2;19:11,16.Ioan 18:28. din pricină că se atinseseră de un mort, nu puteau prăznui Paștele în ziua aceea. Ei s-au*Exod 18:15,19,26. Cap. 27:2. înfățișat în aceeași zi înaintea lui Moise și înaintea lui Aaron. 7 Și oamenii aceia au zis lui Moise: „Noi suntem necurați din pricina unui mort. De ce să fim nevoiți să nu ne aducem la vremea hotărâtă darul cuvenit Domnului în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel?" 8 Moise le-a răspuns: „Așteptați*Cap. 27:5. să văd ce vă poruncește Domnul." 9 Și Domnul a vorbit lui Moise și a zis: 10 „Vorbește copiilor lui Israel și spune-le: ‘Dacă cineva dintre voi sau dintre urmașii voștri este necurat din pricina unui mort sau este într-o călătorie lungă, totuși să prăznuiască Paștele în cinstea Domnului. 11 Și să le prăznuiască în luna a doua*2 Cron. 30:2,15., în ziua a paisprezecea, seara; să le mănânce*Exod 12:8. cu azimi și ierburi amare. 12 Să nu lase din*Exod 12:10. ele nimic până a doua zi dimineața și să nu frângă*Exod 12:46.Ioan 19:36. niciun os din ele. Să le prăznuiască după toate*Exod 12:43. poruncile privitoare la Paște. 13 Dacă cineva nu este necurat, nici nu este în călătorie, și totuși nu prăznuiește Paștele, sufletul acela să fie nimicit*Gen. 17:14.Exod 12:15. din poporul lui, pentru că n-a adus*Vers. 7. darul cuvenit Domnului la vremea hotărâtă, omul acela să-și ia*Cap. 5:31. pedeapsa pentru păcatul lui. 14 Dacă un străin care locuiește între voi prăznuiește Paștele Domnului, să se țină de legile și poruncile privitoare la Paște. Aceeași*Exod 12:49. lege să fie între voi, pentru străin, ca și pentru băștinaș.’"

15 În ziua*Exod 40:34.Neem. 9:12,19.Ps. 78:14. când a fost așezat cortul, norul a acoperit locașul cortului întâlnirii și, de seara*Exod 13:21;40:38. până dimineața, deasupra cortului era ca înfățișarea unui foc. 16 Totdeauna era așa: ziua, norul acoperea cortul, iar noaptea avea înfățișarea unui foc. 17 Când se*Exod 40:36. Cap. 10:11,33,34.Ps. 80:1. ridica norul de pe cort, porneau și copiii lui Israel; și acolo unde se oprea norul, tăbărau și copiii lui Israel. 18 Copiii lui Israel porneau după porunca Domnului și tăbărau după porunca Domnului; tăbărau atâta vreme*1 Cor. 10:1. cât rămânea norul deasupra cortului. 19 Când norul rămânea mai multă vreme deasupra cortului, copiii lui Israel ascultau*Cap. 1:53;3:8. de porunca Domnului și nu porneau. 20 Când norul rămânea mai puține zile deasupra cortului, ei tăbărau după porunca Domnului și porneau după porunca Domnului. 21 Dacă norul se oprea de seara până dimineața și se ridica dimineața, atunci porneau și ei. Dacă norul se ridica după o zi și o noapte, atunci porneau și ei. 22 Dacă norul se oprea deasupra cortului două zile sau o lună sau un an, copiii lui*Exod 40:36,37. Israel rămâneau tăbărâți și nu porneau; și când se ridica, porneau și ei. 23 Tăbărau după porunca Domnului și porneau după porunca Domnului; ascultau*Vers. 19. de porunca Domnului, de porunca Domnului dată prin Moise.
