1 Come, and let us return unto Jehovah; for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2 After two days will he revive us: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live before him. 3 And let us know, let us follow on to know Jehovah: his going forth is sure as the morning; and he will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain that watereth the earth.

4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that goeth early away. 5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. 6 For I desire goodness, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings. 7 But they like Adam have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me. 8 Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity; it is stained with blood. 9 And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way toward Shechem; yea, they have committed lewdness. 10 In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing: there whoredom is found in Ephraim, Israel is defiled. 11 Also, O Judah, there is a harvest appointed for thee, when I bring back the captivity of my people.

Ce să-ți fac, Iudo? Evlavia voastră este ca norul*Cap. 13:3. de dimineață și ca roua care trece curând. 5 De aceea îi voi biciui prin proroci*Ier. 1:10;5:14., îi voi ucide prin cuvintele*Ier. 23:29.Evr. 4:12. gurii Mele și judecățile Mele vor străluci ca lumina! 6 Căci bunătate*1 Sam. 15:22.Ecl. 5:1.Mica 6:8.Mat. 9:13;12:7. voiesc, nu jertfe*Ps. 50:8,9.Prov. 21:3.Is. 1:11., și cunoștință*Ier. 22:16.Ioan 17:3. de Dumnezeu mai mult decât arderi-de-tot! 7 Dar ei au călcat*Cap. 8:1. legământul ca oricare om de rând și nu Mi-au fost credincioși*Cap. 5:7. atunci. 8 Galaadul*Cap. 12:11. este o cetate de nelegiuiți, plină de urme de sânge! 9 Ceata preoților*Ier. 11:9.Ezec. 22:25. Cap. 5:1,2. este ca o ceată de tâlhari, care stă la pândă, săvârșind omoruri pe drumul Sihemului; da, se dedau la mișelii. 10 În casa lui Israel am văzut lucruri*Ier. 5:30. grozave; acolo Efraim curvește*Cap. 4:12,13,17., Israel se spurcă. 11 Și ție, Iudo, îți este pregătit*Ier. 51:33.Ioel 3:13.Apoc. 14:15. un seceriș când voi aduce*Ps. 126:1. înapoi pe robii de război ai poporului Meu!
