A Song of Ascents.

1 Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah,

That walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands:

Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine,

In the innermost parts of thy house;

Thy children like olive plants,

Round about thy table.

4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed

That feareth Jehovah.

5 Jehovah bless thee out of Zion:

And see thou the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

6 Yea, see thou thy children’s children.

O cântare a treptelor

1 Ferice de*Ps. 112:1;115:13;119:1. oricine se teme de Domnul

și umblă pe căile Lui!

2 Căci*Is. 3:10. atunci te bucuri de lucrul mâinilor tale,

ești fericit și-ți merge bine.

3 Nevastă-ta este ca*Ezec. 19:10. o viță roditoare înăuntrul casei tale;

copiii tăi stau ca*Ps. 52:8;144:12. niște lăstari de măslin împrejurul mesei tale.

4 Așa este binecuvântat

omul care se teme de Domnul.

5 Să te binecuvânteze*Ps. 134:3. Domnul din Sion,

să vezi fericirea Ierusalimului în toate zilele vieții tale

6 și să vezi*Gen. 50:23. pe copiii copiilor tăi!

Pacea*Iov 42:16.Ps. 125:5. să fie peste Israel!
