1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation:

Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

2 For thou art the God of my strength; why hast thou cast me off?

Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

3 Oh send out thy light and thy truth; let them lead me:

Let them bring me unto thy holy hill,

And to thy tabernacles.

4 Then will I go unto the altar of God,

Unto God my exceeding joy;

And upon the harp will I praise thee, O God, my God.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul?

And why art thou disquieted within me?

Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him,

Who is the help of my countenance, and my God.

Izbăvește-mă de oamenii plini de vicleșug și de fărădelege!

2 Tu ești Dumnezeul care mă ocrotește*Ps. 28:7.: pentru ce mă lepezi?

Pentru ce*Ps. 42:9. trebuie să umblu plin de întristare sub apăsarea vrăjmașului?

3 Trimite*Ps. 40:11;57:3. lumina și credincioșia Ta ca să mă călăuzească

și să mă ducă la muntele*Ps. 3:4. Tău cel sfânt

și la locașurile Tale!

4 Atunci voi merge la altarul lui Dumnezeu,

la altarul lui Dumnezeu, care este bucuria și veselia mea,

și Te voi lăuda cu harpa, Dumnezeule, Dumnezeul meu!

5 Pentru ce*Ps. 42:5,11. te mâhnești, suflete, și gemi înăuntrul meu?

Nădăjduiește în Dumnezeu, căci iarăși Îl voi lăuda:

El este mântuirea mea și Dumnezeul meu.
