A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song.

1 His foundation is in the holy mountains.

2 Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion

More than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 Glorious things are spoken of thee,

O city of God. [Selah

4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know me:

Behold, Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia:

This one was born there.

5 Yea, of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her;

And the Most High himself will establish her.

6 Jehovah will count, when he writeth up the peoples,

This one was born there. [Selah

7 They that sing as well as they that dance shall say,

All my fountains are in thee.

1 Sionul are temeliile așezate pe*Ps. 48:1. munții cei sfinți:

2 Domnul*Ps. 78:67,68. iubește porțile Sionului

mai mult decât toate locașurile lui Iacov.

3 Lucruri pline de slavă*Is. 60:1. au fost spuse despre tine,

cetate a lui Dumnezeu! (Oprire)

4 Eu pomenesc Egiptul*Ps. 89:10.Is. 51:9. și Babilonul printre cei ce Mă cunosc;

iată, țara filistenilor, Tirul, cu Etiopia

„în Sion s-au născut",

5 iar despre Sion este zis: „Toți s-au născut în el",

și Cel Preaînalt îl întărește.

6 Domnul*Ps. 22:30. numără popoarele, scriindu-le*Ezec. 13:9.:

„Acolo s-au născut." (Oprire)

7 Și cei ce cântă și cei ce joacă strigă:

„Toate izvoarele mele sunt în Tine."
