1 I will give thanks unto Jehovah with my whole heart;

I will show forth all thy marvellous works.

2 I will be glad and exult in thee;

I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.

3 When mine enemies turn back,

They stumble and perish at thy presence.

4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause;

Thou sittest in the throne judging righteously.

5 Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked;

Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.

6 The enemy are come to an end, they are desolate for ever;

And the cities which thou hast overthrown,

The very remembrance of them is perished.

7 But Jehovah sitteth as king for ever:

He hath prepared his throne for judgment;

8 And he will judge the world in righteousness,

He will minister judgment to the peoples in uprightness.

9 Jehovah also will be a high tower for the oppressed,

A high tower in times of trouble;

10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee;

For thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

11 Sing praises to Jehovah, who dwelleth in Zion:

Declare among the people his doings.

12 For he that maketh inquisition for blood remembereth them;

He forgetteth not the cry of the poor.

13 Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah;

Behold my affliction which I suffer of them that hate me,

Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death;

14 That I may show forth all thy praise.

In the gates of the daughter of Zion

I will rejoice in thy salvation.

15 The nations are sunk down in the pit that they made:

In the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

16 Jehovah hath made himself known, he hath executed judgment:

The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. [Higgaion. Selah

17 The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol,

Even all the nations that forget God.

18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten,

Nor the expectation of the poor perish for ever.

19 Arise, O Jehovah; let not man prevail:

Let the nations be judged in thy sight.

20 Put them in fear, O Jehovah:

Let the nations know themselves to be but men. [Selah

Un psalm al lui David

1 Voi lăuda pe Domnul din toată inima mea,

voi istorisi toate minunile Lui.

2 Voi face din Tine bucuria*Ps. 5:11. și veselia mea,

voi cânta Numele tău, Dumnezeule*Ps. 56:2;83:18. Preaînalt,

3 pentru că vrăjmașii mei dau înapoi,

se clatină și pier dinaintea Ta.

4 Căci Tu îmi sprijini dreptatea și pricina mea

și stai pe scaunul Tău de domnie ca un judecător drept.

5 Tu pedepsești neamurile, nimicești pe cel rău,

le ștergi*Deut. 9:14.Prov. 10:7. numele pentru totdeauna și pe vecie.

6 S-au dus vrăjmașii! N-au rămas din ei decât niște dărâmături veșnice!

Niște cetăți dărâmate de Tine! Li s-a șters pomenirea!

7 Ei s-au dus, dar Domnul*Ps. 102:12,26.Evr. 1:11. împărățește în veac

și Și-a pregătit scaunul de domnie pentru judecată.

8 El judecă lumea*Ps. 96:13;98:9. cu dreptate,

judecă popoarele cu nepărtinire.

9 Domnul*Ps. 32:7;37:39;46:1;91:2. este scăparea celui asuprit,

scăpare la vreme de necaz.

10 Cei ce cunosc*Ps. 91:14. Numele Tău se încred în Tine,

căci Tu nu părăsești pe cei ce Te caută, Doamne!

11 Cântați Domnului, care împărățește în Sion,

vestiți*Ps. 107:22. printre popoare isprăvile Lui!

12 Căci El răzbună*Gen. 9:5. sângele vărsat

și Își aduce aminte de cei nenorociți, nu uită strigătele lor.

13 Ai milă de mine, Doamne!

Vezi ticăloșia în care mă aduc vrăjmașii mei

și ridică-mă din porțile morții,

14 ca să vestesc toate laudele Tale în porțile fiicei Sionului

și să mă bucur*Ps. 13:5;20:5;35:9. de mântuirea Ta.

15 Neamurile*Ps. 7:15,16;35:8;57:6;94:23.Prov. 5:22;22:8;26:27. cad în groapa pe care au făcut-o

și li se prinde piciorul în lațul pe care l-au ascuns.

16 Domnul Se arată*Exod 7:5;14:4,10,31., face dreptate

și prinde pe cel rău în lucrul mâinilor lui. (Joc de instrumente*Ps. 19:14;92:3.. Oprire)

17 Cei răi se întorc în Locuința morților:

toate neamurile*Iov 8:13.Ps. 50:22. care uită pe Dumnezeu.

18 Căci cel nenorocit nu este uitat pe vecie*Vers. 12.Ps. 12:5.,

nădejdea*Prov. 23:18;24:14. celor sărmani nu piere pe vecie.

19 Scoală-Te, Doamne, ca să nu biruiască omul;

neamurile să fie judecate înaintea Ta!

20 Aruncă groaza în ei, Doamne,

ca să știe popoarele că nu sunt decât oameni! (Oprire)
