(Selah.)6 \89:5\In heaven let them give praise for your wonders, O Lord; and your unchanging faith among the saints.7 \89:6\For who is there in the heavens in comparison with the Lord? who is like the Lord among the sons of the gods?8 \89:7\God is greatly to be feared among the saints, and to be honoured over all those who are about him.9 \89:8\O Lord God of armies, who is strong like you, O Jah? and your unchanging faith is round about you.10 \89:9\You have rule over the sea in storm; when its waves are troubled, you make them calm.11 \89:10\Rahab was crushed by you like one wounded to death; with your strong arm you put to flight all your haters.12 \89:11\Yours are the heavens, and the earth is yours; you have made the world, and everything which is in it.13 \89:12\You have made the north and the south; Tabor and Hermon are sounding with joy at your name.14 \89:13\Yours is an arm of power; strong is your hand and high your right hand.15 \89:14\The seat of your kingdom is resting on righteousness and right judging: mercy and good faith come before your face.16 \89:15\Happy are the people who have knowledge of the holy cry: the light of your face, O Lord, will be shining on their way.17 \89:16\In your name will they have joy all the day: in your righteousness will they be lifted up.18 \89:17\For you are the glory of their strength; in your pleasure will our horn be lifted up.19 \89:18\For our breastplate is the Lord; and our king is the Holy One of Israel's.20 \89:19\Then your voice came to your holy one in a vision, saying, I have put the crown on a strong one, lifting up one taken from among the people.21 \89:20\I have made discovery of David my servant; I have put my holy oil on his head.22 \89:21\My hand will be his support; my arm will give him strength.23 \89:22\The deceit of those who are against him will not overcome him; he will not be troubled by the sons of evil.24 \89:23\I will have those who are against him broken before his face, and his haters will be crushed under my blows.25 \89:24\But my faith and my mercy will be with him; and in my name will his horn be lifted up.26 \89:25\I will put his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.27 \89:26\He will say to me, You are my father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.28 \89:27\And I will make him the first of my sons, most high over the kings of the earth.29 \89:28\I will keep my mercy for him for ever; my agreement with him will not be changed.30 \89:29\His seed will keep their place for ever; his kingdom will be eternal, like the heavens.31 \89:30\If his children give up my law, and are not ruled by my decisions;32 \89:31\If my rules are broken, and my orders are not kept;33 \89:32\Then I will send punishment on them for their sin; my rod will be the reward of their evil-doing.34 \89:33\But I will not take away my mercy from him, and will not be false to my faith.35 \89:34\I will be true to my agreement; the things which have gone out of my lips will not be changed.36 \89:35\I have made an oath once by my holy name, that I will not be false to David.37 \89:36\His seed will not come to an end for ever; the seat of his kingdom will be like the sun before me.38 \89:37\It will be fixed for ever like the moon; and the witness in heaven is true. (Selah.)39 \89:38\But you have put him away in disgust; you have been angry with the king of your selection.40 \89:39\You have made your agreement with your servant of no effect: you have had no respect for his crown, it has come down even to the earth.41 \89:40\All his walls are broken down; you have given his strong towers to destruction.42 \89:41\All those who come by take away his goods; he is laughed at by his neighbours.43 \89:42\You have given power to the right hand of his haters; you have made glad all those who are against him.44 \89:43\His sword is turned back; you have not been his support in the fight.45 \89:44\You have put an end to his glory: the seat of his kingdom has been levelled to the earth.46 \89:45\You have made him old before his time; he is covered with shame. (Selah.)47 \89:46\How long, O Lord, will you Keep yourself for ever from our eyes? how long will your wrath be burning like fire?48 \89:47\See how short my time is; why have you made all men for no purpose?49 \89:48\What man now living will not see death? will he be able to keep back his soul from the underworld? (Selah.)50 \89:49\Lord, where are your earlier mercies? where is the oath which you made to David in unchanging faith?51 \89:50\Keep in mind, O Lord, the shame of your servants, and how the bitter words of all the people have come into my heart;52 \89:51\The bitter words of your haters, O Lord, shaming the footsteps of your king.53 \89:52\Let the Lord be praised for ever. 1 As benignidades do Senhor cantarei perpetuamente; com a minha boca manifestarei a tua fidelidade de geração em geração.2 Pois disse eu: A tua benignidade será edificada para sempre; tu confirmarás a tua fidelidade até nos céus, dizendo:3 Fiz uma aliança com o meu escolhido, e jurei ao meu servo Davi, dizendo:4 A tua semente estabelecerei para sempre, e edificarei o teu trono de geração em geração. (Selá.)5 E os céus louvarão as tuas maravilhas, ó Senhor, a tua fidelidade também na congregação dos santos.6 Pois quem no céu se pode igualar ao Senhor? Quem entre os filhos dos poderosos pode ser semelhante ao Senhor?7 Deus é muito formidável na assembleia dos santos, e para ser reverenciado por todos os que o cercam.8 Ó Senhor Deus dos Exércitos, quem é poderoso como tu, Senhor, com a tua fidelidade ao redor de ti?9 Tu dominas o ímpeto do mar; quando as suas ondas se levantam, tu as fazes aquietar.10 Tu quebraste a Raabe como se fora ferida de morte; espalhaste os teus inimigos com o teu braço forte.11 Teus são os céus, e tua é a terra; o mundo e a sua plenitude tu os fundaste.12 O norte e o sul tu os criaste; Tabor e Hermom jubilam em teu nome.13 Tu tens um braço poderoso; forte é a tua mão, e alta está a tua destra.14 Justiça e juízo são a base do teu trono; misericórdia e verdade irão adiante do teu rosto.15 Bem-aventurado o povo que conhece o som alegre; andará, ó Senhor, na luz da tua face.16 Em teu nome se alegrará todo o dia, e na tua justiça se exaltará.17 Pois tu és a glória da sua força; e no teu favor será exaltado o nosso poder.18 Porque o Senhor é a nossa defesa, e o Santo de Israel o nosso Rei.19 Então falaste em visão ao teu santo, e disseste: Pus o socorro sobre um que é poderoso; exaltei a um eleito do povo.20 Achei a Davi, meu servo; com santo óleo o ungi,21 Com o qual a minha mão ficará firme, e o meu braço o fortalecerá.22 O inimigo não o importunará, nem o filho da perversidade o afligirá.23 E eu derrubarei os seus inimigos perante a sua face, e ferirei aos que o odeiam.24 E a minha fidelidade e a minha benignidade estarão com ele; e em meu nome será exaltado o seu poder.25 Porei também a sua mão no mar, e a sua direita nos rios.26 Ele me chamará, dizendo: Tu és meu pai, meu Deus, e a rocha da minha salvação.27 Também o farei meu primogênito mais elevado do que os reis da terra.28 A minha benignidade lhe conservarei eu para sempre, e a minha aliança lhe será firme,29 E conservarei para sempre a sua semente, e o seu trono como os dias do céu.30 Se os seus filhos deixarem a minha lei, e não andarem nos meus juízos,31 Se profanarem os meus preceitos, e não guardarem os meus mandamentos,32 Então visitarei a sua transgressão com a vara, e a sua iniquidade com açoites.33 Mas não retirarei totalmente dele a minha benignidade, nem faltarei à minha fidelidade.34 Não quebrarei a minha aliança, não alterarei o que saiu dos meus lábios.35 Uma vez jurei pela minha santidade que não mentirei a Davi.36 A sua semente durará para sempre, e o seu trono, como o sol diante de mim.37 Será estabelecido para sempre como a lua e como uma testemunha fiel no céu. (Selá.)38 Mas tu rejeitaste e aborreceste; tu te indignaste contra o teu ungido.39 Abominaste a aliança do teu servo; profanaste a sua coroa, lançando-a por terra.40 Derrubaste todos os seus muros; arruinaste as suas fortificações.41 Todos os que passam pelo caminho o despojam; é um opróbrio para os seus vizinhos.42 Exaltaste a destra dos seus adversários; fizeste com que todos os seus inimigos se regozijassem.43 Também embotaste o fio da sua espada, e não o sustentaste na peleja.44 Fizeste cessar a sua glória, e deitaste por terra o seu trono.45 Abreviaste os dias da sua mocidade; cobriste-o de vergonha. (Selá.)46 Até quando, Senhor? Acaso te esconderás para sempre? Arderá a tua ira como fogo?47 Lembra-te de quão breves são os meus dias; por que criarias em vão todos os filhos dos homens?48 Que homem há, que viva, e não veja a morte? Livrará ele a sua alma do poder da sepultura?
