16 You did not take me for yourselves, but I took you for myself; and I gave you the work of going about and producing fruit which will be for ever; so that whatever request you make to the Father in my name he may give it to you.

16 Ce n'est pas vous qui m'avez élu, mais c'est moi qui vous ai élus, et qui vous ai établis, afin que vous alliez [partout] et que vous produisiez du fruit, et que votre fruit soit permanent; afin que tout ce que vous demanderez au Père en mon Nom, il vous le donne.
