5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon 3:5–15 2Ch 1:7–13 in a dream at night. 3:5 Nm 12:6; 1Kg 9:2; 11:9 God said, "Ask. 3:5 Mt 7:7; Jn 15:7 What should I give you? "
15 Then Solomon woke up 3:15 Gn 41:7 and realized it had been a dream. 3:15 Dn 2:3; 4:5 He went to Jerusalem, stood before the ark of the Lord’s covenant, 3:15 2Sm 6:12 and offered burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. 3:15 1Sm 11:15 Then he held a feast 3:15 1Kg 8:65 for all his servants.
5 In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. 15 And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.
5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, "Ask for whatever you want me to give you."
15 Then Solomon awoke—and he realized it had been a dream.
He returned to Jerusalem, stood before the ark of the Lord’s covenant and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then he gave a feast for all his court.

4,5 The king went to Gibeon, the most prestigious of the local shrines, to worship. He sacrificed a thousand Whole-Burnt-Offerings on that altar. That night, there in Gibeon, God appeared to Solomon in a dream: God said, "What can I give you? Ask."
15 Solomon woke up—what a dream! He returned to Jerusalem, took his place before the Chest of the Covenant of God, and worshiped by sacrificing Whole-Burnt-Offerings and Peace-Offerings. Then he laid out a banquet for everyone in his service.
