1 米利暗和亚伦， 为了摩西所娶的古实女子的缘故， 就出言反对摩西， 因为他娶了一个古实女子为妻。

2 他们说： "难道耶和华单单与摩西说话， 不也与我们说话吗？"这话耶和华听见了。

3 摩西为人十分谦和， 胜过世上所有的人。

4 耶和华忽然对摩西、亚伦和米利暗说： "你们三个人都出来， 到会幕那里去。"他们三个人就出来。

5 耶和华在云柱中降临， 停在会幕门口， 呼召亚伦和米利暗； 他们二人就前去。

6 耶和华说： "现在你们要听我的话， 如果你们中间有先知， 我耶和华必在异象中向他显现， 在梦中与他说话。

7 可是， 对我的仆人摩西却不是这样， 他是在我全家忠心的。

8 我要与他面对面说话， 是亲自说的， 不是用谜语； 他必看见耶和华的形象， 你们出言反对我的仆人摩西， 为什么不惧怕呢？"

9 耶和华向他们发怒， 就走了。

10 云彩从会幕上离开， 米利暗就长了大痲风， 像雪那样白； 亚伦转身过来看米利暗， 见她长了大痲风。

11 亚伦就对摩西说： "我主啊， 求你不要因我们行事愚昧所犯的罪， 就把这罪加在我们身上。

12 求你不要叫她像个死胎， 一出母腹， 肉就半腐烂了。"

13 于是摩西向耶和华哀求， 说： " 神啊， 求你医好她。"

14 耶和华对摩西说： "如果她的父亲吐唾沫在她脸上， 她不是要蒙羞七天吗？现在把她关在营外七天， 然后才让她回来。"

15 于是米利暗被关在营外七天； 人民没有启程， 直到把米利暗接回来。

16 然后， 人民从哈洗录起行， 在巴兰的旷野安营。

1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman. 2 And they said, Hath Jehovah indeed spoken only with Moses? hath he not spoken also with us? And Jehovah heard it. 3 Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men that were upon the face of the earth.

4 And Jehovah spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tent of meeting. And they three came out. 5 And Jehovah came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forth. 6 And he said, Hear now my words: if there be a prophet among you, I Jehovah will make myself known unto him in a vision, I will speak with him in a dream. 7 My servant Moses is not so; he is faithful in all my house: 8 with him will I speak mouth to mouth, even manifestly, and not in dark speeches; and the form of Jehovah shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?

9 And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against them; and he departed. 10 And the cloud removed from over the Tent; and, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. 11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Oh, my lord, lay not, I pray thee, sin upon us, for that we have done foolishly, and for that we have sinned. 12 Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb. 13 And Moses cried unto Jehovah, saying, Heal her, O God, I beseech thee. 14 And Jehovah said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut up without the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again. 15 And Miriam was shut up without the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

16 And afterward the people journeyed from Hazeroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.
