6 如果有人无可指摘， 只作一个妻子的丈夫， 儿女都信主， 也没有人控告他们放荡或不受约束， 才可以作长老。

7 因为监督是 神的管家， 所以必须无可指摘、不任性、不随便动怒、不好酒、不打人、不贪不义之财；

8 却要接待客旅、喜爱良善、自律、公正、圣洁、自制，

9 坚守那合乎教义、可靠的真道， 好使他能够用纯正的道理劝勉人， 并且能够折服反对的人。

6 if any man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children that believe, who are not accused of riot or unruly. 7 For the bishop must be blameless, as God’s steward; not self-willed, not soon angry, no brawler, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; 8 but given to hospitality, a lover of good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled; 9 holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in the sound doctrine, and to convict the gainsayers.
