1 至于你， 你应当讲合乎纯正的道理。
2 劝老年人要有节制、庄重、自律， 在信心、爱心、忍耐上都要健全。
3 照样， 劝年老的妇女要生活敬虔， 不说谗言， 不被酒奴役， 用善道教导人，
4 好提醒年轻的妇女爱丈夫爱儿女，
5 并且自律、贞洁、理家、善良、顺从自己的丈夫， 免得 神的道受毁谤。
6 照样， 劝年轻的男子要自律。
7 无论在什么事上你都要显出好行为的榜样， 在教导上要纯全， 要庄重，
8 言词要纯正， 无可指摘， 使反对的人因为无从毁谤， 就自觉惭愧。
9 劝仆人要凡事顺服自己的主人， 讨他欢喜， 不要顶嘴。
10 不要私取财物， 却要显示绝对的诚实， 好使我们救主 神的道理， 在凡事上都得着尊荣。
11 神拯救万人的恩典已经显明出来了。
12 这恩典训练我们除去不敬虔的心， 和属世的私欲， 在今生过着自律、公正、敬虔的生活，
13 等候那有福的盼望， 就是我们伟大的 神， 救主耶稣基督荣耀的显现。
14 他为我们舍己， 为的是要救赎我们脱离一切不法的事， 并且洁净我们作他自己的子民， 热心善工。
15 你要传讲这些事， 运用各样的权柄去劝戒人， 责备人； 不要让人轻看你。
1 But speak thou the things which befit the sound doctrine: 2 that aged men be temperate, grave, sober-minded, sound in faith, in love, in patience: 3 that aged women likewise be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good; 4 that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be sober-minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed: 6 the younger men likewise exhort to be sober-minded: 7 in all things showing thyself an ensample of good works; in thy doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, 8 sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us. 9 Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters, and to be well-pleasing to them in all things; not gainsaying; 10 not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. 11 For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world; 13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.
15 These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
