1 你们因着自己的过犯和罪恶， 原是死的。 2 那时你们在过犯和罪恶中行事为人， 随着时代的潮流， 也服从空中掌权的首领， 就是现今在悖逆的人身上运行的灵。 3 我们从前也都和他们在一起， 放纵肉体的私欲， 随着肉体和心意所喜好的去行； 我们与别人一样， 生来都是可怒的儿女。 4 然而 神满有怜悯， 因着他爱我们的大爱， 5 就在我们因过犯死了的时候， 使我们与基督一同活过来， （你们得救是靠着恩典， ） 6 又使我们在基督耶稣里， 与他一同复活， 一同坐在天上， 7 为的是要在将来的世代中， 显明他在基督耶稣里赐给我们的恩典， 是多么的丰盛。 8 你们得救是靠着恩典， 借着信心。这不是出于自己， 而是 神所赐的； 9 这也不是出于行为， 免得有人自夸。 10 我们原是 神所作成的， 是在基督耶稣里创造的， 为的是要我们行各样的善事， 就是 神预先所安排的。 11 你们应当记得， 你们从前按肉体来说是外族人； 那些所谓在肉体上受过人手所行的割礼的人， 称你们为未受割礼的。 12 那时， 你们是在基督以外， 与以色列国无分， 在带有应许的约上是外人， 在世上没有盼望， 没有 神。 13 你们从前远离的人， 现今在基督耶稣里， 靠着他的血已经可以亲近了。 14 基督就是我们的和平： 他使双方合而为一， 拆毁了隔在中间的墙， 就是以自己的身体除掉双方的仇恨， 15 并且废掉了律法的规条， 使两者在他里面成为一个新人， 这样就缔造了和平。 16 基督既然借着十字架消灭了仇恨， 就借着十字架使双方与 神和好， 成为一体， 17 并且他来把和平的福音传给你们在远处的人， 也给在近处的人。 18 我们双方都借着他， 在同一位圣灵里， 可以进到父面前。 19 这样看来， 你们不再是外人和客旅， 而是与圣徒一同作国民， 是 神家里的人了， 20 并且建造在使徒和先知的根基上， 基督耶稣自己就是奠基石， 21 整座建筑都靠着他连接配合， 渐渐增长成为在主里面的圣所。 22 你们在他里面也一同被建造， 成为 神借着圣灵居住的所在。

1 Also you -- being dead in the trespasses and the sins,2 in which once ye did walk according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience,3 among whom also we all did walk once in the desires of our flesh, doing the wishes of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath -- as also the others,4 and God, being rich in kindness, because of His great love with which He loved us,5 even being dead in the trespasses, did make us to live together with the Christ, (by grace ye are having been saved,)6 and did raise [us] up together, and did seat [us] together in the heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus,7 that He might show, in the ages that are coming, the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus,8 for by grace ye are having been saved, through faith, and this not of you -- of God the gift,9 not of works, that no one may boast;10 for of Him we are workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God did before prepare, that in them we may walk.11 Wherefore, remember, that ye [were] once the nations in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands,12 that ye were at that time apart from Christ, having been alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope, and without God, in the world;13 and now, in Christ Jesus, ye being once afar off became nigh in the blood of the Christ,14 for he is our peace, who did make both one, and the middle wall of the enclosure did break down,15 the enmity in his flesh, the law of the commands in ordinances having done away, that the two he might create in himself into one new man, making peace,16 and might reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, having slain the enmity in it,17 and having come, he did proclaim good news -- peace to you -- the far-off and the nigh,18 because through him we have the access -- we both -- in one Spirit unto the Father.19 Then, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens of the saints, and of the household of God,20 being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being chief corner-[stone],21 in whom all the building fitly framed together doth increase to an holy sanctuary in the Lord,22 in whom also ye are builded together, for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
