34 So Peter opened his mouth and said: "Truly I understand that [ver. 28; ch. 15:19;Deut. 1:17;Rom. 3:29]; See Deut. 10:17God Prov. 24:23;James 2:1,9;[Jude 16]shows no partiality, 35 but [See ver. 34above] in every nation anyone who fears him and Isa. 64:5does what is right is acceptable to him.
34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
34 Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.
34 Then Peter replied, "I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. 35 In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.
34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: Deut. 10:17; 2 Chr. 19:7; Rom. 2:11; Gal. 2:6; Eph. 6:9"In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But Acts 15:9; (1 Cor. 12; 13; Eph. 2:13)in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is Ps. 15:1, 2accepted by Him.
34 Opening his mouth, Peter said:
"I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, 35 but in every nation the one who 10:35 Or reveresfears Him and 10:35 Lit works righteousnessdoes what is right is acceptable to Him.
34 Peter began to speak: "Now I truly understand that God doesn’t show favoritism, 10:34 Dt 10:17; 2Ch 19:7; Rm 2:11; Gl 2:6; Eph 6:9; Col 3:25; 1Pt 1:1735 but in every nation the person who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
34 And Peter opening his mouth, said: In very deed I perceive, that God is not a respecter of persons. 35 But in every nation, he that feareth him, and worketh justice, is acceptable to him.
34-36 Peter fairly exploded with his good news: "It’s God’s own truth, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open. The Message he sent to the children of Israel—that through Jesus Christ everything is being put together again—well, he’s doing it everywhere, among everyone.
