23 *Luke 17:23;[ver. 5, 26]Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.24 For *[1 John 2:18] false christs and *ver. 11false prophets will arise and *Deut. 13:1-3;2 Thess. 2:9-11;Rev. 13:13,14;16:14;19:20;[Acts 8:9]perform great signs and wonders, *ver. 11so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.25 See, *John 13:19;14:29;[2 Pet. 3:17]I have told you beforehand.26 So, if they say to you, ‘Look, *Acts 21:38he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
