1 Kiitä Herraa, minun sieluni,

Herra, minun Jumalani, sinä olet ylen suuri;

valkeus ja kirkkaus on sinun pukusi.

sinä levität taivaat niinkuin teltan;

niin että se pysyy horjumatta iankaikkisesti.

6 Sinä peitit sen syvyyden vesillä kuin vaatteella:

7 Mutta ne pakenivat sinun nuhteluasi,

sinun jylinääsi ne juoksivat pakoon;

8 vuoret kohosivat ja laaksot laskeutuivat

paikkoihin, jotka sinä olit niille valmistanut.

eivätkä palaja peittämään maata.

villiaasit niistä janonsa sammuttavat.

12 Niiden partailla asuvat taivaan linnut

13 Saleistasi sinä kastelet vuoret,

sinun töittesi hedelmistä maa saa ravintonsa.

17 Niissä lintuset pesivät,

ja haikaroilla on majansa kypresseissä.

18 Korkeat vuoret ovat kauristen hallussa,

kallionkolot ovat tamaanien suoja.

aurinko tietää laskunsa.

20 Sinä teet pimeän, niin tulee yö;

silloin lähtevät liikkeelle kaikki metsän eläimet.

ja pyytävät Jumalalta elatustansa.

22 Aurinko nousee, ne vetäytyvät pois

ja laskeutuvat luoliinsa maata.

23 Silloin ihminen menee töihinsä

24 Kuinka moninaiset ovat sinun tekosi, Herra!

Sinä olet ne kaikki viisaasti tehnyt,

maa on täynnä sinun luotujasi.

25 Merikin, suuri ja aava —

siinä vilisee lukemattomat laumat

pieniä ja suuria eläviä.

26 *Job 40:10,20Siellä kulkevat laivat,

siellä Leviatan, jonka sinä olet luonut siinä leikitsemään.

että antaisit heille ruuan ajallansa.

sinä avaat kätesi, ja ne ravitaan hyvyydellä.

Saakoon Herra teoistansa iloita,

25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
