10 Then Moses said to the Lord, "Please excuse me, but I’m not someone who is good with words—not in the past, and not from the time you have been speaking with me, your servant. My speech is slow and I don’t say things well."4:10. "My speech is slow and I don’t say things well": literally, "I am heavy of mouth and heavy of tongue."
12 Now go, and I myself will be your mouth, and I will tell you what you are to say."
10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.4.10 eloquent: Heb. a man of words4.10 heretofore: Heb. since yesterday, nor since the third day 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.
10 Moses said to the Lord, "Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue."
12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say."
10 But Moses said to the Lord, "Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but [ch. 6:12;Jer. 1:6]I am slow of speech and of tongue." 12 Now therefore go, and [ch. 3:12;Isa. 50:4;Jer. 1:9;Ezek. 33:22;Matt. 10:19,20;Mark 13:11;Luke 12:11,12;21:15]I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak."
10 But Moses pleaded with the Lord, "O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled."
12 Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say."
10 Then Moses said to the Lord, "O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but Ex. 3:11; 4:1; 6:12; Jer. 1:6I am slow of speech and slow of tongue."
12 Now therefore, go, and I will be Ex. 4:15, 16; Deut. 18:18; Is. 50:4; Jer. 1:9; (Matt. 10:19; Mark 13:11; Luke 12:11, 12; 21:14, 15)with your mouth and teach you what you shall say."
