1Mt 13.55;Mk 6.3 From Jude, servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James—To those who have been called by God, who live in the love of God the Father and the protection of Jesus Christ:

2Lord, have mercy on us. We have put our hope in you. Protect us day by day and save us in times of trouble.

5How great the Lord is! He rules over everything. He will fill Jerusalem with justice and integrity

6and give stability to the nation. He always protects his people and gives them wisdom and knowledge. Their greatest treasure is their reverence for the Lord.

17It’s the dry season, isn’t it? But I will pray, and the Lord will send thunder and rain. When this happens, you will realize that you committed a great sin against the Lord when you asked him for a king."

23As for me, the Lord forbid that I should sin against him by no longer praying for you. Instead, I will teach you what is good and right for you to do.

24Obey the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. Remember the great things he has done for you.

3One fate comes to all alike, and this is as wrong as anything that happens in this world. As long as people live, their minds are full of evil and madness, and suddenly they die.

7Go ahead—eat your food and be happy; drink your wine and be cheerful. It’s all right with God.

9Enjoy life with the one you love, as long as you live the useless life that God has given you in this world. Enjoy every useless day of it, because that is all you will get for all your trouble.

7How terrible for the world that there are things that make people lose their faith! Such things will always happen—but how terrible for the one who causes them!

8Mt 5.30 "If your hand or your foot makes you lose your faith, cut it off and throw it away! It is better for you to enter life without a hand or a foot than to keep both hands and both feet and be thrown into the eternal fire.

9Mt 5.29 And if your eye makes you lose your faith, take it out and throw it away! It is better for you to enter life with only one eye than to keep both eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

1So call your fellow Israelites "God’s People" and "Loved-by-the-Lord."

13I will punish her for the times that she forgot me, when she burned incense to Baal and put on her jewelry to go chasing after her lovers. The Lord has spoken.
