38 Then sayde Iesus vnto them, My soule is very heauie, euen vnto the death: tarie yee here, and watch with me. 39 So hee went a litle further, and fell on his face, and praied, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup passe from me: neuerthelesse, not as I will, but as thou wilt.

38 Então lhes disse: A minha alma está numa tristeza mortal; ficai aqui, e vigiai comigo.

39 Adiantando-se um pouco, prostrou-se com o rosto em terra e orou: Pai meu, se é possível, passe de mim este cálice; todavia não seja como eu quero, mas como tu queres.
