1 မိ​က္ခာ​အ​မည်​ရှိ​သော ဧ​ဖ​ရိမ်​တောင်​သား​တစ်​ယောက် ရှိ၏။ 2 သူ​သည် အ​မိ​အား၊ အို​အ​မေ၊ ပျောက်​သော​ငွေ၊ အ​ကျွန်ုပ်​ရှေ့​မှာ ကျိန်​ဆဲ​သော​စ​ကား​ကို​ပြော​သော ငွေ​ဆယ်​တစ်​ပိဿာ​သည် အ​ကျွန်ုပ်၌ ရှိ​ပါ၏။ အ​ကျွန်ုပ်​ယူ​မိ​ပြီ​ဟု ဆို​သော်၊ အ​မိ​က၊ ငါ့​သား၊ ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား ကောင်း​ချီး​ပေး​တော်​မူ​ပါ​စေ​သော​ဟု ဆို၏။ 3 ထို​ငွေ​ဆယ်​တစ်​ပိဿာ​ကို အ​မိ​အား​ပြန်​ပေး​သော​အ​ခါ၊ အ​မိ​က၊ ငါ့​သား​သည် ထု​သော​ရုပ်​တု​နှင့် သွန်း​သော​ရုပ်​တု​ကို လုပ်​စ​ရာ​ဖို့ ဤ​ငွေ​ရှိ​သ​မျှ​ကို ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား​အား ငါ​ပူ​ဇော်​နှင့်​ပြီ။ 4 သို့​ဖြစ်၍ ငါ့​သား​အား ယ​ခု​ငါ​ပြန်​ပေး​မည်​ဟု​ဆို​သော်​လည်း၊ သား​သည် ထို​ငွေ​ကို အ​မိ​အား​ပြန်​ပေး၏။ အ​မိ​သည်​လည်း နှစ်​ပိဿာ​ကို​ယူ၍ ပန်း​ထိမ်​သ​မား၌ အပ်​သ​ဖြင့်၊ သူ​သည် ထု​သော​ရုပ်​တု​နှင့် သွန်း​သော​ရုပ်​တု​ကို​လုပ်၍ ရုပ်​တု​တို့​သည် မိ​က္ခာ​အိမ်၌ ရှိ၏။ 5 ထို​လူ​မိ​က္ခာ​သည် ဘု​ရား​ကျောင်း​ရှိ၍၊ သင်​တိုင်း​တော်​နှင့် တေ​ရပ်​ရုပ်​တု​ကို လုပ်​ပြီး​မှ၊ မိ​မိ​သား​တစ်​ယောက်​ကို မိ​မိ​ယဇ်​ပု​ရော​ဟိတ်​အ​ရာ၌ ခန့်​ထား​လေ၏။ 6 ထို​ကာ​လ၌ ဣ​သ​ရေ​လ​ရှင်​ဘု​ရင် မ​ရှိ။ လူ​တိုင်း မိ​မိ​စိတ်​အ​လို​ရှိ​သည်​အ​တိုင်း ပြု​သ​တည်း။

7 ယု​ဒ​အ​မျိုး​နှင့် စပ်​ဆိုင်​သော ဗက်​လင်​ယု​ဒ​မြို့​သား လေ​ဝိ​အ​မျိုး လု​လင်​တစ်​ယောက်​သည်၊ ဗက်​လင်​မြို့​မှာ တည်း​ခို၍ နေ​ပြီး​လျှင်၊ 8 တစ်​ဖန် ထွက်​သွား၍ တည်း​ခို​စ​ရာ​အ​ရပ်​ကို ရှာ​လျက် ခ​ရီး​သွား​သ​ဖြင့်၊ ဧ​ဖ​ရိမ်​တောင်၊ မိ​က္ခာ​အိမ်​သို့ ရောက်​လေ၏။ 9 မိ​က္ခာ​က​လည်း၊ သင်​သည် အ​ဘယ်​က လာ​သ​နည်း​ဟု​မေး​သော်၊ လု​လင်​က၊ ငါ​သည် ယု​ဒ​ခ​ရိုင် ဗက်​လင်​မြို့​သား လေ​ဝိ​လူ​ဖြစ်၏။ တည်း​ခို​စ​ရာ​အ​ရပ်​ကို ရှာ၏​ဟု ပြန်​ပြော​သော်၊ 10 မိ​က္ခာ​က၊ အ​ကျွန်ုပ်​နှင့်​အ​တူ နေ​ပါ။ အ​ကျွန်ုပ်၏​အ​ဘ၊ အ​ကျွန်ုပ်၏ ယဇ်​ပု​ရော​ဟိတ် လုပ်​ပါ။ အ​ကျွန်ုပ်​သည် တစ်​နှစ်​တစ်​နှစ်​လျှင် ငွေ​အ​ကျပ်​တစ်​ဆယ်​နှင့် အ​ဝတ်​စုံ​ကို​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ စား​စ​ရာ​ကို​လည်း​ကောင်း ပေး​ပါ​မည်​ဟု ပင့်​ဖိတ်​သော​အ​ခါ၊ လေ​ဝိ​လူ​သည်​ဝင်၍၊ 11 ထို​သူ​နှင့်​အ​တူ​နေ​ခြင်း​ငှာ အ​လို​ရှိ​သ​ဖြင့် သား​ကဲ့​သို့​ဖြစ်​လေ၏။ 12 မိ​က္ခာ​သည်​လည်း၊ ထို​လေ​ဝိ​လု​လင်​ကို မိ​မိ​ယဇ်​ပု​ရော​ဟိတ်​အ​ရာ၌ ခန့်​ထား​သည်​အ​တိုင်း၊ လု​လင်​သည် ယဇ်​ပု​ရော​ဟိတ်​လုပ်၍ မိ​က္ခာ​အိမ်၌ နေ၏။ 13 မိ​က္ခာ​က​လည်း၊ ယ​ခု​မှာ လေ​ဝိ​လူ​သည် ငါ၏​ယဇ်​ပု​ရော​ဟိတ် ဖြစ်​သော​ကြောင့်၊ ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား​သည် ငါ၌​ကျေး​ဇူး​ပြု​တော်​မူ​မည်​ကို ငါ​သိ​သည်​ဟု ဆို၏။

1 And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah. 2 And he said to his mother, The eleven hundred silver-pieces that were taken from thee, and about which thou didst curse and speak of in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be my son of Jehovah! 3 And he restored the eleven hundred silver-pieces to his mother; and his mother said, I had dedicated the silver to Jehovah from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image; and now I will restore it to thee. 4 Now he restored the silver to his mother; and his mother took two hundred silver-pieces and gave them to the founder, and he made of them a graven image and a molten image; and they were in the house of Micah. 5 And the man Micah had a house of gods, and made an ephod and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest. 6 In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes.

7 And there was a young man out of Bethlehem-Judah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there. 8 And the man departed from the city, from Bethlehem-Judah, to sojourn where he might find a place. And as he journeyed, he came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah. 9 And Micah said to him, Whence comest thou? And he said to him, I am a Levite of Bethlehem-Judah, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place. 10 And Micah said to him, Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give thee yearly ten silver-pieces, and a suit of garments, and thy victuals. And the Levite went in. 11 And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was to him as one of his sons. 12 And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah. 13 Then said Micah, Now I know that Jehovah will do me good, because I have the Levite for priest.
