1 ဟာခလိသား နေဟမိစကားဟူမူကား၊ အာတဇေရဇ်မင်းကြီး နန်းစံနှစ်ဆယ်၊ ခိသလုလတွင်၊ ငါသည် ရှုရှန်နန်းတော်၌ ရှိနေစဉ်၊ 2 ငါ့ညီ ဟာနန်နှင့် ယုဒလူအချို့တို့သည် ရောက်လာ၍၊ ငါသည် သိမ်းသွားခြင်းကို ခံရသော ယုဒလူစုထဲက လွတ်သောသူတို့၏ အကြောင်းအရာနှင့်၊ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၏ အကြောင်းအရာကိုမေးမြန်းလျှင်၊ 3 သူတို့က၊ သိမ်းသွားခြင်းကို ခံရသောလူစုထဲက လွတ်၍၊ ထိုပြည်၌ နေသောသူတို့သည် ကြီးစွာသော ဆင်းရဲခြင်း၊ ကဲ့ရဲ့ခြင်းကို ခံရကြ၏။ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ရိုးသည် ပြိုပျက်လျက်၊ မြို့တံခါးလည်း မီးလောင်၍ကုန်ပြီဟု ပြန်ပြောကြ၏။ 4 ထိုစကားကိုကြားလျှင်၊ ငါသည်ထိုင်၍ အင်တန်ကာလပတ်လုံး ငိုကြွေးမြည်တမ်းလျက်၊ အစာရှောင်လျက်နေ၍၊ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၏အရှင် ဘုရားသခင့်ရှေ့တော်၌ ဆုတောင်းသောပတ္ထနာ ဟူမူကား၊ 5 အိုကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၏အရှင် ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကြီးမြတ်၍ ကြောက်မက်ဖွယ်သောဘုရား၊ ပညတ်တော်တို့ကို နှစ်သက်၍ ကျင့်စောင့်သော သူတို့နှင့်ဖွဲ့သော ကရုဏာပဋိညာဉ်ကို မဖျက်၊ တည်စေတော်မူသော ဘုရား၊ 6 ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့အဖို့၊ ရှေ့တော်၌ နေ့ညမပြတ် အကျွန်ုပ်ဆုတောင်း၍၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားဖြစ်သော အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို ပြစ်မှားမိသော အပြစ်များကို ဖော်ပြ၍ တောင်းပန်သော ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်၏ ပတ္ထနာစကားကို ကြားခြင်းငှာ၊ ယခုနားထောင်၍ စေ့စေ့ကြည့်ရှုတော်မူပါ။ 7 အကျွန်ုပ်နှင့် အကျွန်ုပ်အဆွေအမျိုးတို့သည် ပြစ်မှားပါပြီ။ ကိုယ်တော်ကို ပြစ်မှား၍၊ အလွန်ဆိုးညစ်သော အမှုတို့ကို ပြုမိပါပြီ။ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်မောရှေ၌ ထားတော်မူသော ပညတ်တရား၊ စီရင်ထုံးဖွဲ့တော်မူချက်တို့ကို မစောင့်ဘဲနေပါပြီ။ 8 ကိုယ်တော်က၊ သင်တို့သည် လွန်ကျူးလျှင်၊ သင်တို့ကို တစ်ပါးအမျိုးသားတို့တွင် ငါကွဲပြားစေမည်။ဝတ်၊ ၂၆:၃၃။9 တစ်ဖန် ငါ့ထံသို့ ပြန်လာ၍၊ ငါ့ပညတ်တို့ကို ကျင့်စောင့်ပြန်လျှင်၊ မိုးကောင်းကင်အောက် အဝေးဆုံးသောအရပ်သို့ နှင်ထုတ်ခြင်းကို ခံရသော်လည်း၊ ထိုအရပ်က ငါသိမ်းယူ၍၊ ငါ့နာမတည်ရာဖို့ ငါရွေးချယ်သောအရပ်သို့ ဆောင်ခဲ့မည်ဟု ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်မောရှေ၌ ထားတော်မူသော ကတိတော်ကို အောက်မေ့တော်မူပါ။တရား၊ ၃၀:၁-၅။10 ယခုမှာ၊ ဤသူတို့သည် မဟာတန်ခိုးတော်နှင့် အားကြီးသောလက်တော်ဖြင့် ရွေးနုတ်တော်မူသော ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်၊ ကိုယ်တော်လူမျိုး ဖြစ်ကြပါ၏။ 11 အို ဘုရားရှင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်ပြုသော ပတ္ထနာစကားနှင့် နာမတော်ကို ရိုသေချင်သော ကျွန်တော်များပြုသော ပတ္ထနာစကားကို နားထောင်တော်မူပါ။ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်ကို ယနေ့ ကောင်ချီးပေးတော်မူပါ။ ဤလူရှေ့မှာ မျက်နှာရပါမည်အကြောင်း ကယ်မသနားတော်မူပါဟု ဆုတောင်းလေ၏။ ထိုအခါ ငါသည် ရှင်ဘုရင်၏ ဖလားတော်ကိုင် ဖြစ်သတည်း။
1 The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the fortress, 2 that Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah. And I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, who were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. 3 And they said to me, Those who remain, that are left of the captivity there in the province, are in great affliction and reproach; and the wall of Jerusalem is in ruins, and its gates are burned with fire. 4 And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat and wept, and mourned for days, and fasted, and prayed before the GodGodHebrew: Elohim of the heavens,
5 and said, I beseech thee, Jehovah, GodGodHebrew: Elohim of the heavens, the great and terrible ·GodGodHebrew: El that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and keep his commandments. 6 Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, to hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, confessing the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned. 7 We have acted very perversely against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances that thou commandedst thy servant Moses. 8 Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye act unfaithfully, I will scatter you among the peoples; 9 but if ye return to me, and keep my commandments and do them, though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heavens, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there. 10 And they are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power and by thy strong hand. 11 O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants who delight to fear thy name; and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. Now I was the king’s cupbearer.
